Comfortable and relaxing
Our stay at the Zen Lodge was both comfortable and relaxing for our entire family of 13. The house was perfect to “hang out” and enjoy each other while playing games of cornhole and ring or enjoy the paddle boards and Lillypad. We rested during the day and prepared large dinners for everyone around the large kitchen table at night. The host was very prompt with answers to our questions and made everything very easy to enjoy our stay. I recommend this lodge for anyone wanting to reconnect with family or friends while relaxing in comfort and style.

Perfect for a large family
The house and amenities are exactly as described in the description and other reviews. Our kids had a great time playing with all the water toys and games in the house. We had 11 kids and 7 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us- a rare find! Excellent location and the property was quiet and relaxing. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect Weekend Getaway with Friends
We loved our time at the Zen Lodge! We celebrated a birthday with 4 families. All of our friends continued to say all weekend that the house was spacious, the property was beautiful, and the location on the cove was ideal! It was incredibly relaxing. We loved the large yard for kids to run around and play. All of our friends had their own room, and the kids had the bunk room to stay in. The outdoor table and indoor table was the perfect amount of seating for dinners. The layout of the house and furnishings were well thought out. And it was really convenient that the kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and utensils. Would definitely book this place again.

A quiet and private home away from home
This property was simply amazing. It is still plenty hot this summer but we had tons of fun on the porch and in the shade of the trees. The dock was perfectly accessible and the cove (i'm not sure the proper term) was quiet and secluded. We had guests of all ages and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. There was plenty of room in the home, plenty of space for parking, and plenty of space outside for games and fun. If you're looking for a spacious, modern, and updated place to stay, then this is your place! Would definitely recommend if you have a large extended family like we do.

This property is beautiful and well kept. There was plenty of room for all 18 of us along with lots of water and lawn toys, lawn chairs, and beautiful cypress, pecan, and sycamore trees for shade.

Zen Lodge was Fantastic
The home was beautiful and clean when I checked in. The host was good at responding within a reasonable amount of time. Having the floats and big kill iPad for use made the trip that much better because we spent about half the time if not more floating off the dock! I’d stay here again and recommend it to anyone

Family vacation
House was very nice, just as the pictures showed. We had a few issues with the air conditioning downstairs but they sent someone out to fix it as soon as they were notified and we had ac again. The property was beautiful, there were a few broken string lights in one section of the yard that my daughter cut her foot on but that was probably the previous tenant's doing and we did not blame the home owners. We would definitely stay in at this location again if we make it back that way.

Family Friendly Stay
Booked this place for friends and family coming in for a funeral. Though we booked our stay in February, in the midst of a crazy winter freeze, the place was perfect. Plenty of room for our 15 guests. Large kitchen seatinf area so that meals, coffee and family games can be easily be spent together. The bedrooms were nicely decorated. The outdoor space would be perfect if the weather was nicer. The property is placed near an inlet that leads to Lake LBJ. It came with jet skis, kayaks and a lily pad that would have been wonderful for the summer. A long and spacious porch hugs the house and gives you yet another large gathering space. We currently live in a large, spacious home on acreage...so this was sort of like our home placed in a different location. I would definitely recommend this beautiful home as a great gathering spot.

We had Thanksgiving there and really enjoyed the property. A lot to do outdoors and in. Loved the Foosball table, corn hole and spikebball. It is great to have good WIFI and TVs in every room. We will be back!

Fantastic Home!!
I was looking for a home to accommodate 3 adults, and 14 teenagers. This home could not have been more perfect. The bunk room is AMAZING and the majority of the kids slept in there. The master is next to it (not perfect, but was fine) and there were 2 more bedrooms downstairs. We spent a lot of time on the patio and in the kitchen. The yard is huge and we were able to get a boat rental brought to us. I would love to stay again. My only recommendation would be to bring more things to play with in yard - frisbees, footballs, etc.

The house was spacious enough for all of us to spread out and do our own thing, but also had room for us all to be together. The location was great for our range of ages. We had shallow water that the kids could play in, but was close enough to the deep water that those with the boat could easily access the main water for boating fun. We especially liked that several water toys and other outdoor games were included with our stay. We all live several hours away and it would have been difficult to carry many extras. The kayaks, paddle boards, lily pad, foosball table, etc. provided tons of fun for everyone from 3 to 66!!!! Great trip!!!

Great house, limited gathering space
This was a really nice property for our 15 member family. The bunk room was great for all the kids and adults had their own bedrooms. Downstairs bedrooms had to share a bath, which wasn’t ideal but was fine. The house has been tastefully redone and is beautiful. We were able to tie our boat off at the dock and the kayaks and Lilly pad were super fun. The cove is quiet and again a perfect place to dock a boat, no wake or waves at all. It sits on a huge lot that is well cared for and has an awesome fire pit, that would be great in cooler months. There are 10 Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. The only drawback of this property is the lack of gathering space for a large group. The indoor living area is upstairs and only has room for 5-6 people to comfortably sit without dragging chairs up the stairs. The downstairs living is a screened in porch, which was nice for the early risers to have coffee and visit but it got hot during the day and there is only room for 5-6 to sit comfortably. The kitchen bar height table is great and has 10 bar stools that are super cool, but they are not cushioned and it was hard to sit on them for long periods, so gathering in the kitchen was difficult. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed except a griddle. We loved the place and would highly recommend it, but for our large family it wasn’t ideal for our whole group to gather.

We wanted to plan ain’t weekend for a mini family reunion to celebrate some milestones. This property did not disappoint! We loved the location as it was tucked away on the water with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for everyone to play. The kayaks and paddle boards were a nice bonus that the younger teens really enjoyed and we felt comfortable with since this location is away from the water traffic. The place was very clean and beds were comfortable. Recently renovated which was nice. Lots of TVs although the only one used was for the kids using it for play station. We very much enjoyed our stay here.
