This is a funky , fun little Lakehouse getaway. It has a reverse plan layout with the main part of the house upstairs (Large Kitchen, smaller living area, porch, and one bedroom, one bathroom) as if in a tree house, and the other three bedrooms downstairs. A spiral staircase connects the upstairs to the downstairs. There is also a staircase outside that you can climb to get to the upstairs part, so you do not have to climb the spiral staircase. It has two porches; a large one downstairs, and a top one with a very nice grill. The porches over look a nice lawn that leads down to the boat dock. There are more places to sit and hang out on the boat dock. The cove is cozy but not really an appropriate place for swimming and floating in the lake, as it is covered with green algae. The owner does have a nice pontoon boat he rents out so you can rent it for an extra fee and take this out onto the lake. That is what we did and it worked out very well for swimming and floating. This is a very nice bonus if you feel comfortable taking a boat out on the lake. The only thing to be aware of is that 2 of the downstairs rooms with the bunkbeds in them do not have doors and don't offer very much privacy. However there are a number of beds in these rooms for sleeping, and they would be good for children. We really enjoyed our stay there and recommend this to families that are looking for a good quite cove to stay in on on he lake.
