Our Canvas Safari Lodges are nestled in the sides of a valley in our private estate.
Each Safari Lodge has been considerately positioned to offer stunning, private views of the treetops and beyond into the valley. Our lodges offer a comfortable, private sanctuary for 6 guests within two bedroom and a cabin bed and include a log burner, electric blankets, a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom, lounge & wood fired hot tub.
Treat yourself and your family or friends to a Glamping holiday in the heart of the South Hams countryside.
Our canvas lodges are fully equipped to make your stay as homely and comfortable as possible.
Each lodge has it’s own private wood fired hot tub for you to relax in after a ‘hard day at the beach’.
You will be greeted on arrival by a Welcome Pack of delicious local produce.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, hob, slow cooker, toaster and kettle to make catering for your family as easy as possible. There is also a gas fired BBQ on the balcony.
There is a bathroom with fully flushing toilet, sink, hot shower and a heated towel rail. Towels are provided.
Children can explore the woods and gardens, build a camp fire to toast marshmallows or bounce away their excess energy on the large trampoline. There are also football goals, a table tennis table, swings and a giant slide in the play area.
We also have boxes of children's books and toys which can be borrowed on request!
We have resident ducks on our pond, very friendly free range chickens and a cockerel called Terence!
The evening can be spent star gazing from the balcony, wrapped up in our lovely Weaver Green blankets if there is a chill in the air!
You will be woken by the morning birdsong after a cosy nights sleep under a 13.5 tog feather duvet, with lovely Egyptian Cotton bedding and toasty warm electric blankets.
Lower Coombe Royal has been our home since 2017 when we moved with our 3 children from Beaconsfield.
We live on site and are always around should you need help with anything, otherwise you will be left in peace to enjoy your time away from the hustle and bustle of the usual busy family life!
