This laidback single-storey semi-detached coastal retreat in Burnham-Overy-Staithe is perfect for those wanting a quiet seaside escape to tuck themselves away from the outside world. With luxury touches throughout and beautifully simple and stylish natural interiors that echo the local landscape, this little hideaway is in easy walking distance of the harbour and a short paddle, walk or boat ride to the beach or beautiful Scolt Head Island.
You would be hard-pushed to find a more perfect hideaway and The Seas Annex sleeping two, ticks all the boxes. With practical floors throughout and large sliding glass doors to let the sunshine in, and underfloor heating to keep toes warm in the cooler months, it is an ideal getaway whatever time of year you choose to visit.
To the front there is also an allocated parking space on the shingle driveway that is shared with the owners who live next door. Being local and keen cyclists and paddleboarders themselves, they will be able to give you insight on how best to enjoy this beautiful coast and advise on the best time to enjoy the water or pathways. There is also a separate secure side entrance to store bikes, paddleboards and wet suits.
Relax in the lovely open-plan living space which includes a well-equipped designer kitchen, kitted out with all mod cons including a Nespresso coffee machine; a comfortable seating area for four, soft lighting and a Sonos sound system, plus space to enjoy dining inside and out.
The bedroom to the front of the annex features a comfortable king-size bed and a wall of fitted wardrobes, meaning there is plenty of space to unpack fully. Next to this is a bathroom which includes a bath with shower above and a light filled hall with glass ceiling where you will find the entrance to the property and a porch area, perfect for leaving muddy boots. There is also space inside for hanging coats plus a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board and clothes airer.
To the rear is a private garden terrace with garden furniture which is stocked full of shrubs and plants attracting birds and butterflies.
Start dreaming of days watching the early morning sunrise, spend long and lazy afternoons on the sun chairs in the tranquil courtyard garden, or head to the water just four minutes walk away and wade across the shallow water at low tide to the small beach opposite where you can enjoy feeling the sand between your toes. For a special treat, take the ferry which operates in high season to Scolt Head Island where you will be rewarded with empty white sandy beaches with only bird song for company. Alternatively, for the adventurists, hire out paddle boards from North Norfolk Paddle Boards located right next to the property and meander through the creeks to get to Scolt Head.
