"What you would expect from a mountain resort. Front desk and country store closes at 8 PM and the nearest food options (not great) are about 40 mins away. Buy some ramen from the store and spare yourself a drive."

We LOVED exploring Kings Canyon, but were frustrated that we were required to purchase tire chains to head into the park, only to not use them at all.

Location is just great.

We drove the beginning part, then decided to turn around. The Forest turned to rocks, the mountains getting closer, feeling a little closed in. We heard that the falls at the end were lovely, yet the failed business we passed gave an abandoned feel
