While technically located in Kill Devil Hills, Canal Daze is nestled in the premier OBX sound-side gated community called Colington Harbour. Whether you're looking for a quiet relaxing vacation, or one filled with active adventures, Canal Daze will appeal to everyone in the family!

Smart TV's are located in every bedroom, living room, and theater room. DVD players are located in the living room, theater room, and 4th bedroom.
Main Level: King master bedroom with ensuite full bath and connecting master sunroom / home office with beautiful views, 2 queen bedrooms, full hallway bath, open concept kitchen, living room, and dining room (seating for 10 at the table, 2 at the island), reading nook, additional sunroom with counter height table (seating for 8) and love seat. Each bedroom closet is equipped with a box fan, hangers, laundry hamper, and folding luggage rack.
Gated front porch: 3 rockers & side tables (great place to catch a beautiful sunrise!)
Lower Level: 4th bedroom with full-over-full bunk bed and twin bed, large luxurious hot tub with handrail and cover lifter, theater room w/ seating for 5 and a queen sleeper sofa (nice 5" memory foam mattress), game room with pool table, ping-pong, foosball, and arcade style basketball, Tiki-Bar with mini fridge and wine fridge, lounge area, "outdoor" shower, half bath and laundry. New LVP flooring added throughout downstairs (not yet pictured)! Attached garage with amenities and extra storage space for beach items.
Outdoors: private dock w/ swim ladder and room for a boat, Aqua Stairs dock ladder, private fenced in back yard, 4 new Adirondack chairs, 2 picnic tables, fire pit, charcoal BBQ grill, crab pots, fish cleaning station, plenty of yard space for corn hole or throwing the football. The back yard is a great place for admiring the sunset and star-gazing by the fire.
Kitchen is fully stocked, plus: crock pot, griddle, blender, Nutri-bullet, coffee bar with Keurig, traditional coffee pot, electric kettle, and coffee bean grinder.
Other indoor amenities: DVD collection, various board games, electric fireplace style heaters, 36" and 42" dog crates and 2 dog bowls.
Other outdoor amenities: 2 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle boards (SUPs), various size life vests, 4 bicycles, fishing rods and tackle box, bucket, nets, beginners surf board, beach chairs, beach cart, beach umbrella, small/med cooler, tennis racquets, pickle ball gear, basketball, football, frisbee, beach volleyball, and corn hole. The street has very little traffic and is great for a nice stroll or bike ride.
Community amenities, about 1 mile away: **Outdoor salt water pool with diving board and swim lanes, kiddie pool, spacious sound beach, park, playground, dog park, tennis with pickle ball markings, and basketball courts.
**Community Pool Dates are Memorial Day - Labor Day. Please note community pool dates are subject to change (in most years, the season gets extended into mid-September!)
Boater? Colington Harbour is only 10 miles from the Inter-coastal Waterway. There is a $10 / day launch pass fee to use the community boat ramp.
UP TO 2 DOGS ARE ALLOWED PER STAY, but you must select pets at the time of booking. The pet fee will automatically be included in the fees listed (host fees). If this is not selected at the time of booking, there will be an additional $125 pet fee charged. Additional dogs may be considered, on a case by case basis. If approved, an extra fee will apply. Guests must clean up after their dogs in the yard and neighborhood.

Parking is free, on-site, in the paved driveway only. It is single-file and may accommodate up to 4 average size vehicles. There is no overflow parking available.
In order to provide a beautiful and safe property, maintenance is required. We have regular landscaping services, mid-week hot tub safety checks, and quarterly pest control services to ensure our guests have a pleasant experience. These services cannot all take place on turn-over days, but every effort will be made to minimize impact to our guests.
EARLY CHECK-IN FEE. Early check-In may be possible if coordinated at least 2 weeks in advance. $100 fee applies.
We have one Ring security style floodlight on our garage that faces the street and overlooks the driveway. That is the only camera on the property.
Area attractions: Ocean front with public beach access and free parking (several options – 4 miles), Wright Brothers Memorial (4.5 miles), Colington Café (3 miles), North Carolina Aquarium (21 miles), Avalon Fishing Pier (6.5 miles), Churches – Son Rise Christian Church (5.5 miles) or Liberty Christian Fellowship (1.5 miles), Jockeys Ridge State Park (8 miles), OBX Escape Room, Various OBX light houses, Lots of shopping, and lots of restaurants off the main Hwy. Skate Park, Putt Putts, Go Karts, Horse Back riding, Hang gliding, Deep Sea or Inland water charter fishing trips, Dolphin tours, Jet Ski and Pontoon boat rentals.
Guest is required to sign a renter agreement. Security deposit (hold) of $400 is required for each stay, which is released a few days after your departure.
During the peak season, this is a 7-night, Saturday to Saturday weekly rental.
