Cozy Offshore Oasis
We liked that each room had a ceiling fan and there was a dog bed for our dog. It was nice to have two couches to sit on and there were games to play.

Short getaway to The Outer Banks
The cottage was great for our stay. The fenced en back yard and quiet neighborhood was super for our 2 dogs. The house was clean and well equipped. Checkin was easy and further directions in the house made everything user friendly. Our inly complaint is that the bright red dirty laundry bags remained on the front porch for the entire time of our stay.

The Perfect Beach House
This place is a hidden gem and we're so glad we found it. The location is wonderful -right by Publix and a few minutes away from the beach. We loved the beach off of Asheville Dr. We felt right at home at this beach house. It had everything we needed. We love cooking and the kitchen was well stocked which made it easy. The bathrooms were newly remodeled and super clean. The house had that beach vacation feel which made it easy to relax. They had tons of movies and kids movies which our kids watched while we were there. There's a new grill out back which we took use of a few times. The house was set up with kids in mind which was great for our 3 boys. Can't say enough good things. We will certainly be going back.

For the house hunter-watching, persnickety millenial types: OMG... First of all, the driveway.. No car port?? That's a porch, not a mud room, which it doesn't have BTW. Look at the - you-wanna-call-it-keurig. Really? No foam? And the kitchen... Not an open concept? Hello? The 1980's beeped you, it wants its kitchen back!!! And seriously? The kitchen backsplash?? I can't even! Guest bedroom: Bunk beds? Is this a rental or a tv sitcom? Cmon!!! For the NORMAL people: stop scrolling and "favoriting". If youre a couple and have a dog or 2, or a family with 2 small kids, this is your house. Really. The beach is a 2 minute drive with traffic, or an 8 minute walk on the slow side. If you dog isn't a fan of hanging out in the fenced-in yard (Stryker did love it), mary paws dog park (for kids, families and dogs of all ages and sizes) is a 6 minute drive away. Go..Trust me! Need groceries? A 3 minute walk, or less than 1 minute drive on the lazy side) board games a plenty, fast internet, tv in every room, yes. I used the grill (no issues, turned it on and ready to go!) i personally found the bed surprisingly comfortable (memory foam topped.... The wife wasn't a fan tho). The kitchennette table is small, so could be an issue for some families. My last word: been going to the obx for 25 years, so about 35 rentals under my belt. This was one of the top 5 of them.... And i wouldn't hesitate to rent it again. Trust me, that says a lot. This really is a Great, comfy small family house.

Quiet neighborhood and great pet-friendly home.
We loved having the option to walk in a quiet neighborhood which was really decked out for Halloween! And the beach was very close. The fenced in yard was excellent for our dog, which gave her the option to 'lounge' around off lead for a while. Very clean, great layout. Would definitely stay here again if need a place in the area.

Senior pup didn't want her vacation to end!
The neighborhood felt safe walking my dog. The nearby mini golf and grocery store was in walkable distance. Super fun mini golf course! The beach was about a 10-15 minute walk. Overall, a great and convenient location for vacation. A lot of parks and activities nearby. A cute place to stay if you are a small family with dogs! My dog had senior rebellion and did not want to leave, taking a few treats and an ice cream bribe! Lol

Great Dog-Friendly Home in KDH Close to Beach
Though this little gem is not on the Beach, it was only a 6 min drive to beach access and in a great location for Grocery/Restaurants. The Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook full meals. My favorite part was the 6-ft fence for my German Shepherd to play ball in yard. We had a very lovely stay!

OBX Gem - Highly Recommend
I don’t usually write reviews but after reading previous reviews and seeing comments made in the guest book, I wanted to set the record straight for all those on the fence. This house is one of the most conveniently located, well decorated, functional houses we have ever stayed at. What we loved was the simplicity of the house and yet it felt very welcoming and warm. If you want to cook, all the essentials are there. If you want to grill, there is a gas grill that works wonderfully. Sit out on the back deck and enjoy the huge backyard and hammock swing. If it’s raining, there is a covered car port area that is just amazing. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the functionality and flow of the house and it shows. The house was clean. We didn’t see any roaches. The beds were extremely comfortable. There is a TV in each room and the internet worked flawlessly. The listing says it can sleep 4 but with the pull out coaches and double bunks it can easily sleep 8 people! The owners had recently stayed and mentioned they completed a few improvements… new storm door, new hot water heater, etc. In short, if you want to stay in a wonderfully priced, conveniently located house close to the beach and all amenities, please disregard all hyper critical reviews and book this house. It truly is a GEM!!!

The house had roaches
Upon arrival to the property, we came across multiple roaches once we got inside the home. The location of the house is wonderful very convenient and lots of shops and activities close by. The neighborhood is very nice and kept. The house truly needs updates and a safer back deck installed as the deck now has nails that are popping out which is not safe especially for dogs.

Already Planning Our Next Trip!
Our recent stay at Offshore Oasis exceeded our expectations! This home welcomes guests with a relaxed, beachy vibe and numerous thoughtful personal touches. The décor is fun yet soothing, and the house feels spacious and open. The outdoor "bonus spaces" (fenced yard, large deck, and portico) extend the living area and are perfect for keeping beach things (including sand) from underfoot in the house. The location is also fantastic. The house is conveniently situated close to the grocery store, mini golf, and the beach. It is nestled in a lovely calm and quiet neighborhood. Though we had a full house, everyone was very comfortable. We were thankful for all of the necessities and extras provided to ensure a carefree and relaxing vacation. It was great fun to "discover" the aquarium closet with the ocean-effect night light ( perfect for settling the kids down after a fun-filled, action-packed day). The House Cocktail was a delicious suggestion which we (adults) thoroughly enjoyed! We so appreciated all of the details put into providing this "Offshore Oasis" experience! It was a wonderful week, We'll definitely be back!

One night stay
We couldn't get into house at Avon due to storm. Realtor hooked us up with this house for one night until Rt 12 reopened. House was clean and everything was functional. House was old and could be updated but this may be the stile the owner was going for. I thought a rate of close to $400 was quite high given it wasn't a waterfront home and off season. I had one twin and two bunk beds, probably perfect for a family with small children. We had four adults and the beds didn't work out to well.
