Formerly "Hale Houston" Moloaa Beach Hideaway is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath home situated just steps away from beautiful Moloaa Bay on the northeast shore of Kauai.
Walk up a flight of stairs to enter this 1200 sq.ft. spacious, air conditioned well appointed home with an open floor plan, high vaulted ceilings and a sweeping wrap around lanai with access from every room in the house. The lanai is partially covered for protection with separate lounging and dinning areas. The spacious home is comfortably furnished with wood floors throughout. Views of mountains, coconut grove gardens, ad the meandering Moloa'a stream fill every window. You will enjoy peek-a-boo ocean views from the master bedroom and outside dining area.
As well as the visual beauty, the sounds of the surf will be a constant reminder of the magic of nature. Calming your mind and lulling you off to sleep.
Just a two minute walk down the driveway to the stunning crescent white sand beach where you are likely to see breaching whales during the winter months, or spinner dolphins that often come and spend the day.
Moloaa Bay has it all: Awe inspiring sunrises, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, body and board surfing, shelling, or just relaxing and listening to the surf. For those who love to hike there is a coastline trail that begins at the north end of the beach with more breathtaking views along the way.
Moloa'a Bay is a very special and unique area of Kauai. Because of limited street parking, this quiet neighborhood has retained the uncrowded laid back feeling of old Hawai'i.

Off the beaten path but close to everything we wanted to do! Lovely quiet neighborhood - beach access very close House had everything we needed - very comfortable beds! Wrap around porch and outside seating (and hammock) perfect!!

The house and location was amazing! Perfect for a family or for two couples. The house was clean, spacious, and had everything you could possibly want. And being so close the beach and the fairly quiet bay was just as great! We loved everything about the stay.

Incredible location
The most ideal location on Moloaa bay, the home is a 2 minute walk to the beach. The beach in front the house has everything we needed with small children. Shade, gentle waves, tide pools with abundant sea life! It was a lovely place for my husband and three kids( age 8,4, and 3yrs). Deborah was an excellent host and quick to respond. The hardest part was leaving. We hope to be lucky enough to visit again :)

Beautiful home
This home was in a beautiful and quiet setting with the beach very close! It was very well maintained and clean. We had all the beach gear we could possibly need and then some that is provided at the home. Having the ability to walk to the beach and come back to an outdoor shower with hot water was a huge bonus. You won’t regret staying here as you lay in the hammock at night listening to the waves and looking at a moonlit island. We will be staying here again!

Beach Paradise
My family and I stayed for 2 weeks and we had the best time. The home was perfect. Plenty of beds. Kitchen was well stocked. Very clean. And the views off all of the decks are absolutely beautiful. Moloa'a Beach is literally less than a 5 minute walk away. I can't say enough about this home. We would definitely stay there again.

Best Location, relaxing house!
This house is spacious and has the best quiet beach within a minute's walk. Fully stock kitchen, extra blankets, and fantastic beach accessories (everything you will need and more). Communication with the property manager was easy, and she even reached out to us to make sure we did not miss the spectacular view of the full moon. We will be back to this hidden treasure! Thank you for making our vacation unforgettable!

The house was beautiful and very clean. The view was amazing. On the front side of the house we could see and hear the ocean. On the back side of the house we had a view of the mountains. The house had multiple doors and windows with screens so we could let in the fresh air and ocean breeze.

Feels like a Dream
No words to describe the setting, to be honest. Such a refreshing and truly Hawaiian living experience in contrast to the resort areas. Our family was so blessed to have found this place. Not only that, but this place had so many amenities and plenty of everything you could need? Might have forgotten, or didn’t know you needed lol. Perfect location also for exploring both Hanalei and Kapa’a areas

Hawaiian escape
A perfect place to relax and unwind. This house was perfect for the four of us, well stocked kitchen and comfortable lounging and dining areas. The stovetop is an induction cooktop which took a bit of getting used to. My only minor minor complaint is the very weak bbq. (Don’t try to grill any steaks!) The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden filled with tropical fruit trees. The nearby beach is just minutes from the front door. We didn’t try to swim there, but we went out every morning to see the gorgeous sunrise.

Steps to Moloa’a beach, secluded area, well maintained property
Great location! The house is tucked away in a nice quiet area full of fruit trees, birds chirping and chickens roaming. It is generously equipped with everything you need for the beach, kitchen and bath, laundry, A/C, and a wrap-around deck with grill and dining table and chairs. The property manager, Deborah, is quick to response and gave lots of great ideas and places to visit. This is one of the best and the most comfortable place we’ve stayed at in Kauai! A little slice of paradise.
This property met and exceeded our expectations. The location to the Moloa’a Beach is practically in the backyard to the property. There are plenty of beach amenities like chairs, water toys and coolers to make for great beach days! The house is well equipped to make your stay quite comfortable. Deborah, property manager for the property, was attentive to our requests and comments. Wonderful stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and find a place that feels like you’re living “Hawaiian”.

We have stayed in multiple VRBOs over the years and this is by far the most well stocked and attention to detail house we have ever stayed in! Deborah was fantastic in communication and you literally just need to arrive and got i the grocery store for main items. Everything else was there from batteries to laundry detergent to beach towels and beach equipment. The location was amazing and the house was perfect for our family of teens and grandparents celebrating their 50th anniversary. Cannot recommend this enough. We are trying to find another open date to book again!! Mahalo!!!

Stay in paradise
The process leading to our stay was effortless and the property manager, Deborah, was especially thoughtful with her direction and ensuring that we had sufficient guidance to find the property, which is a little off the beaten path; that’s a good thing. We felt like we were in a giant treehouse since the home is situated on stilts. With the wraparound porch we felt like we were floating amongst the trees. The location and proximity to the bay really makes this place magical. The home was well appointed and had everything we could need for our party. A plus is how comfy the beds are. I realize this is subjective but my wife is picky when it comes to beds and bedding and she didn’t complain… which is saying a lot. I can’t say enough good things about this slice of paradise and how fortunate we were to spend a few days at this special location.

Epic Family Stay
We really enjoyed the property. Location worked well to reach activities on the North Shore or down South. Yes you end up doing some driving, but we loved that it was more central. The first day in town the waves were pretty wild by the house (to be expected in winter) so be prepared. The amount of gear they have on hand is quite amazing. I don’t think you could ask for more. Deborah was attentive and helpful before our arrival with letting us know exactly how to get there. She even checked in with us while traveling and we let her know we would be even later than expected. She put a red flag out where you need to turn to get to the property in preparation of our after 1am arrival. I honestly can’t say anything bad about this property, and Deborah is awesome.

If you haven't experienced the island of kauai, this is the way to do it. best vrbo ever.
It was one of the best experiences I've had. Deborah is very good at her job. We needed this healing place after losing my 2 dads, my kid brother, and mom. For the last 2 years, we needed some healing and restoration, along with closure. This house is amazing, it's so peaceful and the neighbors are very friendly. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach and to hear those waves from the lanai was so relaxing. It is winter in kauai now but you'd never guess it. If anyone passes up on this house you are crazy. This house and location is meant for rejuvenation... healing.... closure... renewal.. and especially dreaming. We were so moved by our trip this time we are moving to the island. Y I u are next to anini Beach 10 minutes away for great snorkeling. the lighthouse, Larson Beach. much much more.. thank you kauai / Deborah for making it all possible

Lovely area and comfortable house
The house is like a tree house. You have to be okay climbing 37 stairs going up .. we love this area ..been here before a few times. Comfortable and easy house and even with lots of rain its lovely..
