This house is absolutely beautiful. It’s the perfect lake house with kayaks included. Our family had such a great time we are already looking at times to get back out!

World class home - third world cleanliness
This beautiful home offers ample space for a dozen adults with numerous rooms and spaces. The lake and surrounding views made for an excellent backdrop for my son's wedding which was held at the property.
There were dead flies along the window sills. Not just a few dead flies but hundreds of them. I communicated this to the property manager who apologized and said this was something that should not have been overlooked. Apology accepted. We used a vacuum and cleaned them up. She said it was a bad time of year for flies.
Mouse droppings were found in utensil drawers and some kitchen cupboards. (There was even mouse droppings in the gears of the can opener). The property manager responded by saying that this was the first time hearing this concern. She said the pest control had been there the week before to do maintenance on the many rodent control devices throughout the property. I am certain that the pest control technicians don't inspect utensil drawers and kitchen cabinets for droppings.
Mouse infestation is expected in a property like this. She even told us it's a bad time of year for flies. Given how the property manager knew these risks, it is disappointing that she didn't make sure the guest experience wouldn't be impacted by them. Hygiene risks should be at the top of the list of priorities.
Be aware that they make it the guests' responsibility to remove their own trash. It is a 16 mile round trip to the transfer station. Important to know.
