"AMA Terrace is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the common area and shared facilities are useful and pleasant, and the staff are helpful and generous. Being able to do a load of laundry was a big plus too!"

"The hotel was very ‘weathered’ and definitely requires a bit of love. However, this made it feel very comfortable and something I got used to quickly. In a sense, the negative points became the positives! The staff were polite and helpful, the room was fine and breakfast did the job! Evening restaurants were REALLY good, but check opening times! Great sightseeing points nearby in both good weather and bad. All in all, a very enjoyable few days! Thank you!"

"Great hotel, is clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, even though our Japanese wasn’t great, their breakfast is great and overall is a great place to stay in Amami. You will definitely need to rent a car where ever you stay in Amami because it makes everything a lot easier to get around the Island. Thank you to all the staff at the Hotel Caretta, we loved Amami and we felt very welcomed."
