If you know the Maui Sunset you'll want to know our location. UNIT numbers are important and tell you a lot. Our condo is in the B building, Number 421. The first number (4) indicates the floor, and the remainder (21) denotes the 21st unit. Each floor has 23 units (B Building), and 22 units (A Building). Unit 01 is farthest from the ocean and Number 23 the very closest to the ocean. There is not a finer condo to rent at the Maui Sunset in terms of furnishings and our view.

Kihei's warm, sunny weather is the best on Maui. Our home is conveniently located within easy driving time of the airport. Walk to nearby grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops, craft market, drug store, Post Office, fast food and more. Excellent golf courses are nearby. Activity Desk on the property can assist with coordinating special trips and activities.

Great location and view!
We loved this apartment! Amazing view from the lanai and we saw whales in the distance every morning. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed like snorkeling equipment and beach towels. Our son loved the swimming pool. We loved how easy it was to walk or drive to nearby beaches, restaurants and groceries. Kihei is a charming town.

We loved our stay at this condo in Kihei. The location is incredible. The overall property has great amenities - pool, tennis, putting, grills, and shuffleboard! Really easy ocean access. The owners have a lovely home, everything is extremely organized. We really appreciated all of the gear they shared with us as well - snorkels, chairs, beach towels, tennis rackets, etc!

Perfect Maui Condo!
Well-stocked condo with everything you need for a beach vacation - towels, chairs, umbrellas, snorkels. Awesome! Great access to the beach and several nearby larger beach parks for easy day trips. Kihei is a good mix of locals and tourists so it had a laid back, less “resorty” vibe which we appreciated. Great communication with the owners for check-in information and pool time in prep for a red eye home. Would stay here again!

Excellent sunset views.
Loved how clean and immaculate everything was. I have to say they were very well organized and detail oriented everything was labeled and clear. There were the perfect amount of supplies for our stay, from beach towels to laundry pods, they stocked the place just the right amount. The grounds were very well kept. Pool was clean and very few people there. Beach is good for walking, but not great for wading. We could walk to the market and the flea market easily.

Beautiful views from a well-stocked condo
The condo is immaculate with so much to use to make a special trip. We have our own snorkel gear so we didn’t need any but there is plenty plus chairs and binoculars to see the whales, just many extras. Responsive owners, beautiful views. Short drive to beaches with swimming/snorkeling. The beach behind the building is small but beautiful for watching waves and incredible views of stars at night. Many dogs play in the grassy areas just behind the building which was fun since we are dog lovers (maybe from other properties? It’s a huge open area).

Mahalo Maui Sunset!
Our family of 4 (teens and parents) stayed comfortably in this condo for 9 days. The kitchen is large and well appointed and the bathrooms are small but updated but was nice to have two bathrooms and then a separate sink/mirror area for getting ready. The bedrooms were good and had enough storage and hanging space for all our things. You really don’t need a lot since there is a full washer/dryer and the condo is stocked with all the towels you need. But the highlight is the lanai balcony and the view. Large sliding glass doors offer a stunning view of the ocean and the West Maui Mountains. The grounds itself were a bit dated but we didn’t mind. Tennis/pickleball were steps away, as was the beach and pool. The beach/grass area seemed to be a bit of a dog haven and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the local dogs get their play date in the mornings while sipping coffee! The Maui Sunset is not in a tourist area so there is a mix of locals and vacationers (which we liked). The location is very good and provides easy access to just about everything. Parking was easy too. We all really had a great time and will definitely consider staying here again! Mahalo!

Great condo
Love the Maui Sunset although older it is nicely maintained and in a great central location. Not real happy with the request to do your towels and linens before you leave!!! Cleaning fee should have covered that. We received 6 bath towels, 6 hand towels, and 4 wash clothes for five people for 9 days. With an early flight we were expected to once again do laundry. Would not rent from these owners again but will return to Maui Sunset

Perfect home base
This property was perfect for our needs. We traveled in March, 2023. We are a family of five with three kids ages 9, 11, and 13. The owners were very responsive to our questions. The condo had everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation on Maui including beach chairs, boogie boards, travel coffee mugs, cooler, snorkeling gear, etc. It was very nice to have the two bedrooms and two baths. We also used the murphy bed in the living room, which was perfect. The condo was our home base for the many excursions we had planned that week. The condo has a beautiful view from the lanai. Was perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or a cocktail. We would definitely recommend this condo to others traveling to Maui.
