Beautiful View with a Central Location
The property is within walking distance of so much/ groceries, beach, park, bar, shopping, coffee, restaurants etc. The view from the deck was great. It can be a little noisy on the deck during the day, but didn’t bother us as we were usually out during the day. Had a separate AC unit in the bedroom which was a lifesaver for us. Plenty if space for the two of us. We’d stay again.

The view of the beach from this property is fantastic! The property is conveniently located close to restaurants, stores, the beach, etc. Ligia was a great host who responded to our requests in a timely manner. We would definitely rent this property again.

Great Condo located in the heart of Kihei. Beaches, parks, shops, restaurants and bars. Great view of ocean with swimmers, surfers and snorkelers. Our hosts, Ligia and Mike couldn’t have been better. Our first nite we had problems with the TV set. The next morning they showed up with a brand new 65 inch set. Ligia would text every few days to check if all was well and see if we needed anything. Great hosts, great Condo!

We had a great time, property was close to many places we wanted to see. We were basically there to sleep, but it was a great place to call home for a week, and hope to be back! Great view of the beach and surfers! Owners were very helpful, and supplied us with everything we needed for our vacation! Great time!!

While the building is older, it is well kept and this condo, the owner has decorated very well. The owner is very responsive to any questions, check in process was easy. I would stay here again!!!

If your looking for a location that is within walking distance to anything you will want, this is it! It is very busy due to the location, but the beach, Saltwater Café with organic and fabulous gluten free options was priceless for us. The unit is adorable, nicely kept and cozy. Wonderful stay!

Paddle boarding and surfing right across the street, great food and bars within 2 blocks, shopping nearby, deli and convenience store in the building—everything was at our disposal at this cute condo with great sunset views. Great view and location
The best features of this property is location and view. I think this is the only 6 story building in the area and is designed with all units to have an ocean view. Since this unit is on the top floor, the ocean view was the best! We enjoyed watching surfers, both experienced and beginners in surf school, from our lanai. The location is adjacent to shops, restaurants, and bars. The building lower level has shops including a great deli and a convenience store.it also has good off street parking. The owner was very responsive to questions or problems we had.

Perfect place in Kihei
This condo was perfect. Starting with a beautiful condo with an owner that setting it up perfectly for amazing vacation. There were benoculars to see the whales from the lanai as well as chairs to use at the beach. She's thought of everything. Add to that the location is perfect with a beautiful view and walking distance to so many of our favorite restaurants. Thank you for an awesome visit. We'll be back.

The owner is very responsive to all your needs. She starts you off with a great introduction to the locale. When you arrive there is a bottle of wine and 2 glasses chilling in the frig. Unit is newly refurbished and tastefully decorated. Kitchen is the best equipped I've ever seen. Espesso machine! WITH COFFEE. Parking is secure and easy. Surfboard rental and beach right accross the street.

Beautiful views, great location!
This penthouse condo provided an excellent home away from home during our 9 day stay. Every morning we were able to look out at the ocean and the surfers before walking to breakfast. The location can't be beat! The condo itself is beautiful, and we found it included everything we needed during our stay. The owner is so thoughtful, and really wants to make sure that you are comfortable. She made our stay wonderful! When returning to Maui, I would not stay anywhere else! I have already recommended it to friends, as it is the best condo I have stayed in! Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality.

Great condo, well situated and wonderful view
We really enjoyed staying at Ligia's condo. It was exactly as advertised. The location in Kihei was perfect - close to restaurants and shops with plenty of free parking. The view was wonderful, the bed was comfortable and we felt at home in the apartment. Ligia was very responsive and helpful. We even managed to lock our selves out of the apartment and Ligia got back to me almost immediately and we were back in the apartment before we knew it! Thank you Ligia for helping make our stay on Maui memorable. We would definitely stay at your place again.

This is our 2nd stay at this property and we loved it !
the Island Surf is the middle of what's happening in Kihei. The ocean is right there .we can walk to restaurants, bars ,and FoodLand .we can walk to 3 sandy beaches and rent a surf board down stairs ! this unit is roomy and has a nice kitchen .and best of all it's on the top floor no kids running over your head .I'm sure we well be back on our next trip to Maui. the only change we would make is .the AC in living room is on it's last legs but the ac in the bedroom is great.

Awesome location!
This condo is perfectly located for easy access to great beaches, wonderful eating places, fun shopping, ocean viewing, etc. We appreciated the owner providing beach chairs, a large beach tote bag and a cooler for our use. A lovely touch was the chilled wine and chilled glasses left for us in the frig. We wish there were more dishes, glasses and cups. We had to hand wash dishes each evening so we'd have dishes the next day.

The condo owner is probably the best thing about this place! She's reachable anytime you have a question or concern and goes above and beyond to ensure you get the most from your vacation. Her unit is on the 6th floor, which is above power lines and provides a nice view. Also farthest (up) from traffic noise. (the singular common complaint of visitors to Island Surf). Overall, a quality stay.

We booked three nights at this property. It had a great view of the ocean. We discovered mold in the air conditioner as well as ants and fleas in the kitchen. We contacted the property host about the air conditioner but a replacement would not be available until after our stay would be complete. We left early after 2 of three nights due to poor air quality from the moldy Air conditioning system as well as the ants and fleas we discovered in the kitchen. I contacted the owner a couple of times to request a refund only for the night we did not stay. I sent them a photo of the moldy air conditioner. The owner refused to refund the night we did not stay.

In need of a major clean and updates!
The condo is quite old with no updates and the cleanliness of the place needs a lot of close attention by the host! The location is great, across from the beach with many shops around, although it is quite noisy at night with street traffic, especially if you have a guest sleeping on the pull out couch in the living room. The pull out couch is extremely dirty, my guest opted for the blow up bed we requested. The air conditioners in the bedroom and living room were both old and in need of updating as they don't put out much cool air and they cut in and out constantly - at minimum, changing the filter would probably help. Highly suggest paying a bit more for a newer, cleaner, updated, well maintained place, than staying here.

Lovely location & view - bad for sleeping
The location & view of this condo is great, & includes nice loaner beach equipment. You can walk to fun bars, restaurants, shopping & beaches. Sleeping in this condo is rough and the reason I give 3 stars. The master bedroom has no windows so airflow is only provided by a very old and very loud air conditioning unit. The mattress for the fold-out couch is a joke. There is no way an adult could sleep on this, the springs dig through the 2-inch mattress - we folded multiple blankets as padding so our 10-year old could sleep there. We stayed on a weekend and the traffic and bar noise is quite loud in the living room with the windows shut, don't expect the sound of crashing waves. The host was quite nice once we cleared up the substantial hidden fees that were not in the VRBO quote.

Wonderful Condo to enjoy Maui from!
We love staying in the Island Surf condo building due to the location - you can walk to the beach, walk for groceries, walk to restaurants and you're right across the street from Kalama Park and Cove Park where all the Paddleboarders and Surfers go. This particular condo is on the 6th floor with offers a wonderful view of the ocean and the Molikini Crater. The kitchen is well stocked with all appliances, dishes, cookware etc. so you can do your own cooking. It was wonderful to have filtered water on the fridge as well as the icemaker in the freezer. It was convenient to have a washer/dryer. The king-sized bed was super comfortable and the big lounger couch was so much more comfortable than the usual rattan furniture in Hawaii. We had beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler and towels provided to make our time at the beach perfect. We never used the air conditioning as there is a wonderful cross-breeze you can get by having the lanai door open as well as the screen door on the entry. Ligia was a wonderful, kind hostess. Thank you for making our Maui vacation the best!
