Koa Resort 4F- One of a kind! Three bedroom three bath and updated!

A rare find! Three bedrooms and three baths and two levels make for plenty of space in this apartment. The first floor has a master bedroom-bath suite with a king bed; the second bedroom has two twin beds, and there is a kitchen and dining and living area which open onto a spacious lanai. The second floor loft bedroom has twin beds and a bathroom. Both guest bedrooms have the option for the twin beds to be converted to a King size bed (upon request and approval). There is a private lanai off the loft bedroom and en suite washer/dryer. Koa Resort is a wonderful location for a family vacation with a large swimming pool, hot tub, tennis courts and barbecue grills throughout the five acre landscaped grounds.


At this property we provide beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach cooler. We suggest renting beach toys (such as snorkel gear, paddle boards, boogie boards, etc) from one of the many rental companies on Maui.

For the benefit of both our guests and property owners, Bello Realty, Inc. requires all guests to have damage protection to rent our properties. After completing your online reservation, you will be given the option to either purchase a $30 Vacation Rental Damage Protection plan or provide a $1500 refundable Security Deposit. Great value and excellent location
This was the perfect home-base for our family during our trip to Maui. The property had plenty of room for our family of 6 and everyone was comfortable. Very glad to have the kitchen and dining areas which we made use of most days. Our kids loved the pool which was a really nice bonus. The location is perfect for exploring Maui. Very happy with our time at the property and would happily stay here again next time.

Great family oriented VRBO
Koa resorted is located across the street from the beach in Kihei. Unit was clean and tidy with newly renovated washrooms. Resort had a massive pool, tennis courts, ping pong and bbqs. PM highly responsive. Would stay again!

This was a perfect place for our stay in Maui. It was close to shops and the beach. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. Would definitely stay at this place again.

Lovely home, beautiful setting
This 3-bedroom home was a perfect getaway for our family of one grandma, two young couples and one small child. The home was well-stocked with most everything a traveler might need, including lots of extra towels, bedding, blankets, kitchen utensils, even lawn chairs and sand toys for kids. The kitchen was well supplied and everything worked. Living room, dining room, and patio accommodated our family of six very well. Very cozy sweet place! The one downside to this place is that it needs some handyman attention. The power outlet in the upstairs bathroom was dead, and the bedroom dresser was literally in pieces. The downstairs bedrooms were somewhat better but still rundown. Other than that, we had a perfect visit. We would stay here again.

Perfect for the price
This was a great place for three couples. There was plenty of space, and we enjoyed having a full kitchen and access to the pool and grills. The location is a little ways from bars/restaurants, but a very short drive away. Some of the things in the rental were a bit dated, but it was a great value for what we paid, and overall we were very satisfied.

Quiet and perfect location for a family wanting to get away
We stayed the end of April, so it was warm but not excessively warm. The VRBO was clean and comfy. Loved the quaintness and charm of the place even though it’s a bit dated. Spacious and relaxing. It was warm at night after being locked up all day and not having a/c. Took a few hours to cool off. Great pool and veranda! It was a great value for Maui and would definitely stay again.

This property has lots of space for a larger family with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It is a dated unit, but was fairly clean. The washer/dryer in the unit is beneficial. We did need to go and buy dish clothes and toilet paper. The pool on-site is very nice and the community BBQ area is also nice.

Perfect vacation for our family
This property was more than enough for our family of 5, each of us with our own bedroom and bathroom. We loved the location, being able to walk to the beach, and the inner courtyard that was absolutely fantastic for our 6-year-olds, able to run around and play for hours! The pool is larger than most pools and we were closed to everything. I agree with the other reviews that some updates might be overdue, but the price was right and we had everything we needed. We will definitely try to stay here again when we return to Maui!

Perfect for our family
The location was perfect! A block from the beach. Not too far from the grocery store. Very centrally located. The amenities were amazing too! The pool was awesome! The hot tub was by far the best. There was a day where all we wanted to do was hang out onsite and cooking on the grill and playing foosball and ping pong while our food cooked was amazing! The house was super clean! The pictures had me wondering a bit since it looks dated but once we got there.. kitchen is a bit dated, living rooms and both indoor and outdoor dining areas were spacious! All three bathrooms were on point! Would definitely recommend and rent again!

Modest but spacious
For the price this was a nice property for a family. Everyone could spread out, the lanai felt more private than other places we’ve stayed and units spread out for a nice quiet space. As others noted some updating would be nice but that’s really more cosmetic than functional. Pool area, bbq area all good and communication with property company timely, friendly and helpful.

Great budget condo for a group
First of all, the management company was very pleasant, and clearly pays attention to reviews- I noticed all comments about the kitchenware and supplies that were lacking in previous reviews were noted and addressed. We were very well stocked. The Koa property is lovely, and across the road from a nice beach to watch the sunset or rise, and just fine for a quick splash. The on site pool and barbeque were great for evenings at home. It looked like it was going to be more walkable than it was, but everything was very close by car. We were all perfectly happy. It is a bit dated, which you can tell by the photos and the whole place could use some more lighting, and the carpet replaced in lieu of full renovation, but all in all it was actually better than I expected for the price point and I was very satisfied.

This place had a lot of minor maintenance thing’s broken. Property manager aware. Needs an update. But then it will loose that old Kihei charm. Perfect for family stay. The pool was excellent for the kids and the unit was close to the pool. The grounds were to die for with ample shade and forty year old plumeria trees you hardly find in Kihei any more. Across the street from the beach for sunset. Lay out of condo was perfect. Kids got the upstairs. Over all we all would request to stay here again next Kihei Vacation. In addition. The property manager was really good when I pointed out pre existing damage. It was minor and we didn’t need it repaired just didn’t want to foot any expense.

Needs a ton of work
Read plenty of the previous reviews and thought it would be okay. Other than the location it doesn’t live up to much of anything. It needs a total remodel. Mold in the showers, broken tiles, shag carpet from the 70’s in the bedrooms that is matted and has dirt embedded in it. Couldn’t close one of the bedroom doors as the door handle wouldn’t open it. Dresser drawers are all broken and fall out when opened or won’t close without a lot of extra work. The upper loft the sheet rock on the sealing has water stains and is sagging of the ceiling. Water stains in the Sheet rock in the hallway. The front screen door is broken and the front door is warped and peeling. Whoever the owner is, should maybe take some of the money they are making and reinvest. Has plenty of potential just needs help. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone to many other places for the same money.

Overall great stay, but no AC
Our stay overall was great. Outside door was controlled by a keypad, which was great since we had 5 adults coming and going. Make sure to read the signs about registering your car for parking. Info is in two places (on the wall and in the book) but was outdated and suggested there was a paper form to complete. The form is entirely online. Only complaint - which is really an oversight on my part - is that there is no AC. The listing does not claim any, so listing is accurate. I saw “newly renovated” and assumed, especially because I had looked at other units in the same complex that DID have AC. There’s so much wind that nights were fine, but it was a little hot the few times we were there late morning/early afternoon - temps were hot and the winds had not picked up yet to get the breeze moving through the condo. This was also middle of summer, so as hot as it gets. Location is great. We did not walk to many places, but its a short drive to access all the major highways. The little town of Kihei is just down the road and has some shops and restaurants and a really nice public beach. Parking at the beach was always readily available. We did not use the amenities, but the pool and tennis courts looked great. There are quiet hours, which seemed to be observed by all the residents and guests, so easy to get some sleep.

Overall what we expected
Overall this property met our expectations based on the listing. It was not "upgraded," but you can see that from the photos. The surface cleanliness was fine, but we did find that the bedrooms were harboring enough dust (presumably the carpet and/or sleeping surfaces) that it bothered us. So if you are sensitive dust and dust mites, I think it's fair to be forewarned. The fans provided did a pretty good job of circulating air and no air conditioning did not bother us, but we do not frequently use AC in our own home either and are OK with it being warm. It felt like the kitchen needed a good inventory done. There were a TON of pots and pans, but not a single bowl that could be used to mix up a bag of salad (so we used a big pot!) About two dozen knifes, but all dull. Stuff like that. Not a big deal, but just seemed to be lacking some attention to detail. We loved koa resort. The grounds were beautiful, the pool was amazing, and it was a perfect environment for a family. This unit was soooo spacious (compared to other units we have rented on Maui), and we loved that. We ended up driving to other beaches because the north Kihei beaches are not nearly as nice as those further south, but we would seriously consider staying at Koa again as we loved the resort itself. Overall great stay and the price point was what we needed.

Dated and needs updating
We were here for a 10 night stay with family. We loved the location. It's near the pool and the landscaping makes it feel very private. The condo was spacious and comfortable for our party of six adults and one child, which made our stay enjoyable. It's definitely in need of repair and updating. It's missing window coverings in the dining area, and the remaining window coverings are in need of cleaning or replacement because they are dirty/stained. The carpet is stained and dirty in appearance. Some of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty when we arrived. It might be that the dishwasher doesn't clean well, or the people before us didn't. There are tiles missing in the upstairs bathroom and the light above the shower and fan don't work up there (they said it's on their list to fix). Some of the laminates on the cabinet doors have peeled off and the dresser drawers in one of the downstairs bedrooms are hard to pull out or push in as if they are missing drawer runners. Some of the mattresses definitely need to be replaced. One of the twins upstairs makes a terrible noise every time you move, sit or lay on it. There are beach chairs and umbrellas in the closet, but both umbrellas were broken, so we couldn't use them. There is a room upstairs that is locked off, but could be another bedroom. If it was open, it would have allowed for some good airflow. We had requested the twins be made into kings and that wasn't done prior to our arrival. Also, there were only 6 bath towels and 4 beach towels. We called the property manager about 4pm on a Friday and didn't hear back until Monday. She asked if we had called the emergency number. I did call both numbers, but got voicemail on both and only left one message. We didn't consider it a real emergency. But, it was an inconvenience. We pushed the twins together for the first few nights, and made do with the bath towels we had, and purchased some beach towels. As soon as we talked to her, she sent someone to fix the beds and provide more towels. Our overall experience was enjoyable, and I stay here again.
