The Havana Cabana is a fun and unique stay for those traveling in Key West. The creativeness of the decor and Havana aura made the experience special and exciting. Pool and spa facilities were clean and well designed and there were plenty of activities to enjoy on the property.

Overall, the stay was satisfactory. On the 7th, my door malfunctioned, and I could not access my room for about an hour. The staff was not as attentive as I thought they should have been. I wanted to repack as I was departing early the following morning. This put a negative spin on my stay as the 7th was my birthday. Thanks.

The property had a great Cuban theme/decor. The staff was very helpful and nice. The bed and bedding was extremely comfortable! The room could have been bigger with a larger bathroom. If we come back I would look into a larger option.

Very nice resort. The poolside iguanas are entertaining. Frequent shuttles to/from downtown make it very easy to get back and forth.

The hotel staff themselves were fine but we had a horrible experience with Tasha a bar tender at one of the bars. My husband had just rounded up our bill and then he was going to give a cash tip when we were done, as we always do as to make sure the server is well compensated, however she seriously called my husband out and asked him to come up to the bar and proceeded to be very rude to him about him not tipping her more in the credit card slip. He was very taken aback, he just crossed out the amount and added the tip then to the slip but she still was being rude and said a comment to another person we were with. We are use to MN/ND nice treatment not being treated like crap.

Overall, great stay. Awesome location with access to downtown via shuttle, pool area, great bartenders and vacation vibes. Will recommend. However, had some issues with one of the concierge who was showing attitude when booking tours while another concierge was great. Housekeeping and pool cleaning crew are too loud in the mornings, and because of thin walls an early wake up time was not a great experience.

We love this hotel the atmosphere and the people were casual and very pleasant and helpful. Our room was very good sized. We had a beautiful view of the water, the pool was absolutely gorgeous, especially in the evening with all the lights. Favorite part was definitely the poolside bar cocktails were very good and the bartender was exceptional. We were gonna head back downtown but enjoyed ourselves at the bar so much. We just stayed there.

This property is a remodeled Howard Johnson’s. Our first 2 mornings the coffee was complimentary. We received a text on the 3rd morning that they were taking that away. We booked a week at this property. Cleaning staff came in. Replaced towels and made the bed, took trash but didn’t clean the sink etc. Staff around the pool areas in the morning, servers, seemed put off, frustrated etc. we chose to go off property to eat. Pool is not heated as listed. Other employees were a delight and seemed glad to be at their work place. Front desk and concierge were helpful. Outdoor pool areas and around the hotel is very pretty with lots of palms etc. Doubt we’d stay again. Just an “ok” property.
