Overview: Fully Remodeled Vacation Home with a nicely equipped kitchen featuring new Stainless Steel appliances, LED lighting and granite counter-tops with a breakfast counter. This 2 Bedroom (1 King Size Bed and second bedroom with either 2 Twins or a converted King), 1.5 Bath Condo is nicely decorated with comfortable stylish furnishings. Both bathrooms have been completely renovated and feature all new Moen fixtures and vanities.

The Office/Den in the front is a great location to setup your workstation and check in with work or family. Brand new Central A/C system installed in 2020 with upgraded air filters. New tiled floors throughout makes any room in this home comfortable and clean.
LOCATION: Moon Bay is in an excellent location at MM 104.3 on the Bay side. This Vacation property is conveniently located on the 2nd floor in Building A.
RESORT AMENITIES: Moon Bay features a large heated pool and a smaller wading pool for children. The sports area includes a Tennis Court, Basketball Court, Shuffleboard and more. The clubhouse features waterfront views, TV, Kitchen, Ping-Pong and two Saunas.
UNIT AMENITIES: Full size porch with ceiling fan for morning coffee or evening cocktail. Den area in the front of unit for a more quiet area to work on your computer at the desk area. Very comfortable and brand new living room furniture. The unit is equipped with the latest technology including a new 55" LED TV in living room and a 42' LED TV in the master bedroom. BlueRay/DVD is connected in the living room. Hi-Speed WiFi also available in the unit as well as public WiFi in the clubhouse and pool area. (MoonBay Outdoor & MoonBay Clubhouse)
CONVENIENCES: Key less coded door lock - no need to travel any further, or add any additional time to your travel, to pick up and drop off keys. This unit also features an assigned covered parking space to keep your vehicle cooler and you protected from the occasional tropical shower.
Climate Control: New ceiling fans in every room and a Locked Programmable Thermostat for optimal performance. Thermostat temperature can be manually overridden.
Simple Booking: VRBO payments and low Security Deposit. Book directly with Local Property Owner and onsite Property Manager for a more timely response. (Less than 1 hour!)

Wonderful Stay
This was our second time at Kent’s unit. We love the location of Moon Bay, the clubhouse, the waterfront area, and the sunsets! The unit has everything we needed, and Kent was welcoming and super responsive. Great all-around!

Key Largo - Fun
The property was exactly as advertised. The place was very clean and the added extras (paddles, pickleball equipment, fishing poles, etc.) were a nice surprise. I would recommend this location to anyone needing a sunny vacation in a prime venue. Kent was a great Host and we used his recommendations for local restaurants and pubs.

Great Family Vacation Over Christmas Holiday!
Great place for our family vacation - myself, wife and two college age daughters. Our first time in Key Largo was awesome. We enjoyed the pool area, pickelball court, beach area and view at sunset. Thanks Kent for being a great host.

Another Great Stay at Moon Bay
We’ve stayed at Moon Bay fours or five times and it never disappoints. The location is wonderful and there’s never a lack of amenities at Moon Bay or a lack of things to do in the Keys. The sunsets are magnificent right from the dock at Moon Bay! People are super nice and the property manager was great. We’ve found a gem in Key Largo!

Great spot to stay in Key Largo
Kent's condo at Moon Bay is comfortable clean and very well appointed. It was exactly what we thought we would get by looking at the pictures and reading the description. Kent was the most responsive host and very accommodating. We couldn't have had a nicer stay. Highly recommended.

Very nice condo with friendly neighbors.
We stayed with our children. Our children loved fishing from the dock. The condo itself was nice. The only thing I didn't like was you couldn't see the water from the condo. Beds were comfortable. The condo has everything you could need. We plan on staying here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again. Encountered a few hiccups with the thermometer turning up to 85 degrees and not being able to adjust the auto set, but the owner quickly responded and was able to fix the issue before we returned back from our activities from the day. Rating 4 out of 5 because there was a strange musty odor when you walked in and that lasted during the stay. Almost smelled of sewage so we had to go purchase some air fresheners to help with it. Overall great experience and I would recommend to others.

Beautiful Updated Condo in a Perfect Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience booking this vacation through VRBO. Kent was so helpful with great area information and attentive to all of questions. The condo is so nicely kept and was very clean. A few helpful items were left on the kitchen counter to help us when we arrived including Coffee! We loved spending time around the Kitchen Breakfast counter and relaxing on the balcony one morning when it was raining. Like many areas in the Keys, the complex is right off overseas highway but our friends in the front bedroom could not hear any road noise in the unit thanks to the new hurricane windows. We walked to and from some great restaurants and really enjoyed fishing from the Tiki Hut in the Marina. Thank you Kent for making our vacation stay perfect! We look forward to coming back in December.

The Moon Bay Resort was comfortable and easy access from HWY 1 and other activities.
Kent was very good at getting back to us with answers to any questions. The condo floors were under some renovation while we were there so they were partially completed. The floor will look very nice once completed. The condo itself fits four people comfortably, especially if you use the outside patio area. Remember there is no beach at the resort but it does have a beautiful pool and marina where you can sit and watch the gorgeous sunsets! John Pennekemp State Park is a few miles away which does offer a beach ($2.50 person). Snorkeling and scuba diving tours are available at the park. If you are at all queasy on a boat make sure you take your Dramamine! Keys are approximately 2 hour drive away from condo. Plenty of souvenir shops etc near as well. My husband and I plus 2 daughters (age 16 and 27) enjoyed our stay! Would stay there again!

Many pluses and minuses for this property. However, overall it reminded me of Student housing: Rode hard and put away wet. On the plus: Great responses from the owner. Easy Check-in Great pool Nice kitchen appliances and upgrade The minus side: Towels found in the dryer (on the third day) Needs maintenance: paint, baseboards, shredded curtains, general overall clean-up One roll of toilet paper in one bathroom No paper towels Towels found in the dryer (on the third day). Bin of dirty laundry(?) left in the hallway. Full body weight is needed to close the sliding glass door.

Overall great property with some tweaks needed
We love coming to the Keys and were happy to support a fellow VRBO owner. We waited to review the property as we wanted to be thoughtful in our review. The community has many wonderful amenities and we enjoyed our stay overall. Our biggest concern was that the bedrooms were not as advertised. The photos show 2 regular twin beds with headboards in the 2nd BR. What we had was one regular twin bed and one trundle on the floor, not a regular bed at all. When my sons decided they didn't want to share a room, one went into the den/office area to sleep. However, the futon in there is more of a loveseat size and when opened up, could not fit one large child, never mind 1 to 2 adults. The condo is advertised as able to sleep 6. It's important to be clear on what your guests should expect. The master bedroom was nice, just as advertised, as was the rest of the condo.

There were pluses and minuses.
Pluses: Everything about the grounds were beautiful, especially the dining area. The grounds are the reason to stay at this property - absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed the kayaking and the paddles and life jackets our host provided. (The management at Moon Condominiums needs to remove the many broken boats.) Minuses: In the king bedroom, the pillows were disgusting. A very puffy sham pillow was placed in the regular sleeping pillowcase. I had to swap them because the sham pillows were too uncomfortable for my husband and myself to sleep on. The flatter pillows should be thrown away due to staining and stuffing coming out. Our host was prompt when we requested washcloths and additional hand towels for the two bathrooms and the kitchen (as there were only one hand towel per room and no useful washcloths. If you do laundry be sure to set the water to "warm." The coldwater selection cannot fill the washer for over an hour. Also, you'll need a pen to hold open the washer lid as that is broken too. The coffee mugs glaze heats up in the microwave so be careful. For a party of four there were not enough silver ware (3 knives) or glasses. I could add more but not needed - you get the drift. This condo is as described - enjoyed by their family during the summer and rented out otherwise. This property is missing the polish you would have expected for the considerable sum we paid for two weeks. A fancy countertop cannot compensate for the basics.

Good but not great
Stayed between Christmas into New Years. Everything (floors, counters and bedsheets) were pretty gritty/sandy upon arrival. Required our needing to sweep up and rewashed all the bedsheets. Property owner offered to send cleaners out again, but by then I had already swept everything up. Few days later when I went to open the 2nd bedroom window found the window ledge at the latch point was coated in a thick layer of dust. Place is situated right on Overseas Highway, so there is constant road noise of the traffic zooming by. Not horrible, but noticeable. The second bedroom closet was full of random stuff which I had to shift over and cram into one side to be able to hang up stuff in the other half of the closet. Several drawers in second bedroom were also crammed full of owner’s stuff. While most of the unit has been renovated recently, there are still some elements that are showing a lot of age (examples are: bathroom fans are very loud and clogged with dust and blinds in 2nd bedroom would not lower properly). The place had plenty of pots and pans, but couldn’t find any hot mitts or trivets to handle items out of the oven. We also could only find two kitchen towels and no hand towels for the bathrooms. Moon Bay communal property was quite nice with a very nice community room and picnicking area with several charcoal grills. We also spotted a couple of manatees around the marina on our last evening while out enjoying the sunset. Overall, an ok place to stay - but don’t think we would stay here again.

Phenomenal time
We spent a week at Kents place and it was a great time. Kent was a great host, answered all of our questions promptly and even had someone meet us at the dock of the property to help us park our boat and ensure we were able to do so without any problems. We will certainly be back.

Relaxing 3 weeks
The apartment felt like home! Everything that was needed was there. Host aimed to please. Pool area was relaxing and never too busy or noisy and usually very sunny. The area is within walking distance of food stores and restaurants if wanted. A couple of area beaches are really nice. Trip to Key West was pleasant. All in all a great vacation escape from NY. We love the area. Will be back!
