"I was travelling with my colleague on a work related visit to a family in Plett. We travelled 800km to Plett, only to be told by the lodge that our bookings were cancelled the morning of the check-in day. As to why the booking was cancelled, we were told that it is because my card payment was declined. This was nonsense as this payment was made more than a month before the check-in day and there was not such communication. I even checked with my bank and my money was still out of my bank...

"Fantastic hotel and staff, ideal location with direct access to a wonderful, clean and virtually isolated beach!! All towels, loungers and sun brolly provided free - with a smile! Easy access to beach restaurant and bar or a 5 min drive to the centre for more bars etc... both worth a visit. Breakfast varied and delicious, bar open in the evening if you dont fancy venturing out. Worth also noting, complimentary secure parking!! "Stanley Island is rely an Island, you can go there only by boat , it makes it uncomfortable if you plan to sleep more than one night and have plans in the area. You need to be organize and bring with you enough food. If you plan to come with a family, with kids and to stay for a day or to is very nice' you have a realy nice area and pool.it is big and specious. the pepole are nice, and frendly. there are some zebras that we met in the morning, is like sleeping in a natural reserve."
