Clean and comfortable. Two problems were that: 1. The double bed needs a new mattress as it dips to the right quite badly. 2. The winter duvet cover was too warm and there was no alternative duvet. Hope you don't mind us mentioning this, as it would make someone else's stay more comfortable.

good base for walks etc
Quiet location but handy for Keswick (10 min walk along various scenic routes). Numerous walks available from the doorstep, and for further afield access by car to A66 quick and easy. Property well equipped (plenty of plates, pans etc) and pleasant. Keswick office very helpful and responsive when sorting problems (eg faults with dishwasher). May well go again.

Bobbin Cottage is in a great location, about 15 mins walk from the centre of Keswick so with easy access to shops, restaurants, etc. but away from the hustle and bustle. We found it the perfect size for us as a couple (I imagine the living space downstairs would seem a bit cosy if you were a family of 4). The living/dining room and kitchen were renovated after the 2015 floods and they've been done really nicely (comfy sofa, good dining table and chairs, well-equipped kitchen), whereas it's clearly been a few more years since the upstairs was redecorated - it's still perfectly decent but the decor is a bit dated. It was a bit of a shame that the main bedroom only had a standard double bed (it could have accommodated a king size) but otherwise no complaints!

We had two lovely weeks in Bobbin Cottage despite it raining nearly every day. It is a lovely little cottage and well equipped. Lovely little garden area with the River Greta flowing at the end and a heron to watch. Only a ten minute walk into town and a bus stop just a few steps up the road and a Spar shop and garage close by. What more could you ask for, for a lovely relaxing holiday. Hope to come back again soon. Heather. 😊

Great week at Bobbin Cottage and around Keswick (helped by amazing weather). Cottage had everything we needed and was within walking distance of the town. Lovely bit of outdoor space, a real sun trap to sit out early evening.
