"My room was on the top floor and I had a number of heavy suitcases, so carrying them up was quite exhausting after a long flight and ride from Schiphol. In late August, the room was very warm as it had a glass door on one side and three large windows/doors on the other. So sun most of the day. "We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. "Very modern and comfortable studio apartment In a quiet neighborhood. It was convenient to go by bus/train wherever we wabted, only 30 minutes to Amsterdam.
