The walkways were attractively and effectively lit up for evening strolls and dog walking. All instructions were clearly communicated and our stay was lovely"

"Property was beautiful, we enjoyed sunsets on the deck in autumn. The interior was spacious and comfortable, and the amenities were high quality and welcoming. 5-10min drive to groceries and markets in the area. The kitchen is very nice to use, only downside is there is no oven. Great place!"

"Very cute studio apartment. We had two people staying and it got a little squished but it was doable. Communication with Joel was amazing!! He made sure we were comfortable and was there if we ever had to reach out for any reason. His instructions for check out and check in were detailed and easy to follow. Would stay here again!"

"House was very clean and owners seemed kind and thoughtful. They was a bottle of wine waiting for us at arrival. Beds and linens were very comfortable and shower had great water pressure. The view from the balcony is splendid with cozy outdoor furniture and an area for yoga or meditation. We just found the decor to be a little schizophrenic and overwhelming. There is ample parking for your car, a separate private entrance, a shared back deck. "We had a great time at Highland Lake. The apartment was so comfortable, and larger than I would have thought from the description. It was convenient to town - the teens loved access to DQ, pizza shops, etc just a few minutes away. There were kayaks and a paddleboat we could borrow, which I somehow missed in the description - nice pluses! The lake access from the dock was perfect. "Perfect for our visit to our children and grand children. The lake is across the street with the marina next door. Rented a pontoon boat, at a discounted rate for beautiful day with the kids. Minor problem getting in initially, but resolved by Jeanne quickly. Note that this is a renovated lake residence which has a second story rental which can get a bit noisy and the bathroom is in the rear of the house with the bedroom in the front. Overall will be returning in the future."
