"I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. I expected that as an older building it would be somewhat outdated and old fashioned. In fact most of the facilities appeared to have been recently renovated from the huge triple room we had to the spa and the restaurant. Spa area is not huge but I enjoyed the wave machine in the pool and the sauna was the best I have been in. Breakfast was perfectly adequate. "The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Latvian National Library and overlooks the Daguava River. Beautiful and relaxing river walk available to hotel guests. The staff were simply outstanding from the front desk attendants to the housekeeping staff. Everyone is extremely friendly, helpful and courteous."

"Hotel location is absolutely perfect. Nice breakfast, decent rooms. Little snack section in the lobby if you’re feeling peckish at night. Overall I’d stay again. Perhaps for me was the inconsistency with housekeeping… at no point my shower gel or hand wash was replaced despite the bottles being empty. For a “Hilton” that felt like a bit of let down. "
