Summary:
Eden's Peaceful Escape is a cosy ground floor one-bed open plan apartment with an airy, well-kept kitchenette and en suite bathroom that is located within the historic market town of Kendal, situated on the southeast corner of the Lake District national park, just a ten-minute drive from Windermere.
The Space:
Eden is located a short walk from the town centre where you will find an array of café’s, bars, restaurants and quirky independent locally-owned shops that offer the perfect place for a spot of shopping and Bruch. Before heading out further afield for the afternoon, explore the nearby towns of Kendal, Bowness, Windermere, and all the Lake District has to offer.
Guest Access:
Parking is free on street parking within non restricted or signposted areas.
The property is a short few minutes' walk from the Bankfield bus stop and less than ten minutes on foot to the Kendal town main street.
Wheelchair access is unfortunately not available, as there is not enough room by the bed for access and the doorways and access points are not sufficiently wide enough.
The Neighborhood:
Kendal Main Street can be found a short stroll away, there is a great range of things to do including, local shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés just to name a few.
The nearby Westmorland Shopping Centre hosts a wide range of shops and an indoor market - while the Shopping Centre is open seven days a week, the indoor market is closed on Sundays.
The Kendal Farmers Market is one of the oldest farmers markets in the country, hosted in the Market Place on the last Friday of each month. The market is a great stop for local products and excellent locally sourced food.
Getting Around:
Eden's Peaceful Escape is located on the outskirts of the Lake District, with the bustling town of Windermere only a 10 min drive away. Kendal is also a short drive that has a range of shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafés. The walk to Kendal Main Street from the property is less than ten minutes.
The apartment is a short two-minute walk from both the Bankfield and Undercliff Road bus stops for the 44 and the 445 bus routes.
Oxenholme (Oxenholme Lake District) is the nearest train station, located a short 5-minute drive away.
