Perfect for exploring the historic towns and villages close by with a 10 minute drive from Lake Windermere & all the Lake District National Park has to offer.
The Space:
Hollins Nook has been refurbished to enhance its traditional Victorian heritage whilst drawing upon inspiration from Scandi Design and the Cumbrian landscape to create an interior that is modern, warm, and inviting.
Living Room - Cosy living space with plenty of seating after a long day of walking in the countryside and exploring the Lake District National Park, complete with electric fire. Board games and book are located underneath the TV.
Kitchen / Dining Area - Beautifully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, electric oven &hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and cafetiere.
For dining there is a extendable dining table with 5 seats.
Laundry - Eco Washer / Dryer.
Bathroom - Bath / Shower with quality towels and essential amenities provided.
Master bedroom - Kingsize bed with quality Egyptian cotton linen, ample handing space made from silver birch & bedside tables. Hairdryer provided.
Snug - Single bed with quality linen, with Smart TV so you can access Netflix, Disney+ etc. perfect room for children to sleep and hang out.
Attic Bedroom - Super King Ziplock Bed with quality Egyptian cotton linen, ample storage space with chest of draws and hanging space made from silver birch with bedside table. The beds are set as a king size with 2 duvets, but we can change this upon request.
Internet - Wifi available.
Entertainment - 32 Inch Smart TV to log into Netflix/Amazon Prime/NOWTV/Apple TV and Disney+ accounts. Also available is Sky TV with Sky Movies. Books and Games located in the living room.
Smart TV located in the snug with Netflix etc.
Utility Room - Iron & Board, Hoover, High Chair. You're also more than welcome to store your boots after a long walk in countryside.
On sunny evenings there is space to sit outside on the patio and enjoy a drink whilst reflecting on your day exploring the Lakes District National Park.

Guest Access:
There is parking for one car next to the property and another opposite our property, instructions will be given upon bookings and before check in.
It is a keyless entry, the code will be sent 2 days before check in.
The Neighborhood:
Burneside village is in a green valley conveniently located at the Gateway to the Lake District National Park, a stones throw from the market town of Kendal, and a short 10 minute journey to the centre of the Lakes.
The village has the River Kent running through it which also forms part of the popular Dales Way, an 80 mile walk between Bowness-on-Windermere within the National Park and Ilkley.
The village itself has an excellent chip shop (fish and chips are AMAZING), a railway station, pub and a convenience store just a few minutes walk away, and is a 5 minute drive from Carrus Green Golf Club.
Getting Around:
Excellent and convenient location for everything the Lake District, National Park has to offer.
CAR
Easy access to Hollins Nook from junction 36 on the M6 motorway (13 minutes drive)
A private parking space is available next to our cottage.
Car journey takes 10 minutes to Windermere village.
TRAIN
Burneside train station is a 6 minute walk away with trains direct to Windermere (takes 11 minutes) and Kendal (takes 4 minutes) or Oxenholme station on the West Coast mainline (takes 9 minutes).
Trains direct from London Euston to Oxenholme (takes 3 hours)
Trains direct from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Oxenholme (take 2 hours)
WALK
Lovely walks along the River Kent to Staveley local village pubs takes 1 hour (The Eagle and Child is fab!) and the busy market town of Kendal takes 44 minutes or 15 minutes on a bike.
BUS
Hourly bus service to Kendal bus station & shops, takes 11 minutes from Burneside Church.
Regular open top buses into Lakes- Ambleside, Grasmere, Coniston, Keswick etc… from Windermere train station.

No smoking
No parties / events
Please be aware that the dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds, upstairs or left in the house alone in the property for long periods of time.
