"We were warmly greeted by Uche(sp). She showed us our apartment which was large and well equipped. Food items to prepare were waiting for us in the kitchen: pasta, sauce, bread, juice, beer. The farmhouse garage area is like a museum with sleighs and old farm equipment. The bathroom was large. There was a washing machine, but we were asked not to use it. Not sure why. "Es war ein super Urlaub mit guten Freunden. Die Unterkunft ist einfach großartig genau wie auf den Bildern zusehen. Es fehlte uns an nichts und wir haben uns direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt. "We had previously written Memmingen off as a purely transit town - handy for the nearby airport and nothing else. This was based on the less-than-inspiring train station and it’s immediate vicinity. However, on this visit we were pleasantly surprised to discover a remarkable ’old town’ district a short walk away. Memmingen is worth a longer stay to explore the ancient streets and beautiful buildings, intact after avoiding WWII bombing. The Limehome suite we stayed in was immaculate, very well...
