"We stayed for two weeks at The Bothy. We used it as a base to explore the Dales. We enjoyed seeing the local sights and villages. There are numerous sites to visit within one hour’s drive. Also, there are nice walks from the front door to visit Aysgarth Falls, Cauldron Falls at West Burton, and a longer walk to Bolton Castle. "Perfect for 4 couples as we could all have our own bathroom. Bathrooms were all modern. Bedrooms delightfull. Lovey comfortable lounge. Great kitchen so we were able to cook and eat in the dining room We also managed to get a motor bike and a car in the garage!! Highly recommended "

"We had a week’s stay at Orton Hall in Nell Gwyn Cottage. The front room and bedroom were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, but it all felt a bit dated. The grounds were lovely, but unfortunately it rained every day we stayed there, so we couldn’t really explore them. However, we did discover a chocolate factory in the village which we very much enjoyed, as well as a very tasty cafe for a full English breakfast nearby. It’s centrally located for visits to both the Yorkshire Dales...

"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...

"I was staying at the Barn with 5 friends as part of a walking holiday in the Lake District. The house is beautiful and is situated in a quiet, lovely spot. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was excellent and the steam room and sauna were very welcome after our long walks. The dishwasher was a bit difficult, and the cutlery basket had seen better days, but that was a tiny blemish on an otherwise perfect stay. "It's a beautiful area with stunning scenery just a short drive away. The house itself has so much character with a lovely large kitchen/dining area and big lounge. The garden is beautiful too - quiet and enclosed. We loved that you could walk to Kirkby Stephen over Frank's Bridge, which we did quite often. All in all, we had a lovely weekend."
