"The hotel's setting on the edge of a lake that is a magnet for wildlife is fabulous, the views are amazing. The service was wonderful, with all the staff being charming and helpful. We were particularly impressed by the hotel driver who took us to Sigiriya and then onto our next stop in Kandy."

"Terrible conditions in the room. There were bugs, old towels and torn bed sheets. Did not have adequate hot water. Faucet controls were falling off. One of two air conditioners was not working. Pool was not usable, the water was cloudy. This property should be delisted from hotels.com."

"Waiting on their staff at check in and check out was far too long. They need to revise their system. Too many people doing nothing but waiting for the ONE person who could do it. The place itself is incredibly beautiful -- really. Great pool and great view."
