We had great time, away from city, peaceful and serene place. The owner was very friendly and helpful. My daughter every bit of the stay from pool to pond and the pets.
This is probably our favorite property we’ve stayed at in many years!!!!! It is very unique, clean, and just perfect! DeeDee thinks of everything! The cabin is amazing, so many special details. The surrounding property is absolutely gorgeous! We can’t wait to return.
This place was better than described! It was a charming cabin that utilizes the space perfectly. Our girls loved the loft! The outdoor space was very nice and comfortable as well. Donna was an incredible host and so thoughtful. We enjoyed every minute of our stay! Thank you
The property is beautiful. I had a great stay. Ms Donna is so kind and an excellent host.
My family truly enjoyed Ms Donna’s place. She is a great host. We definitely plan to return. It’s the perfect get away with lots of things to do. She is very sweet and goes all out to make her guests feel at home. Everyone should visit this wonderful place. Thanks Ms Donna.
We always have the best time here. It's relaxing with plenty of stuff to keep everyone entertained. Deedee is the best hostess. We love riding the golf cart swimming in the pool and fishing. She provides so much you never have to leave to find something to do. But if you do get out I recommend driving the short distance to Logansport and eating at big Zach's and then hitting up swamp water flea market. Or taking the short drive to the Louisiana boardwalk for shopping,a movie and dinner.

A georgeous getaway location. Just perfect for our family!
We had a great experience at DeeDee’s B&B! She has thought of every detail! The cabin was cozy and comfortable (our two boys loved sleeping in the loft and said it was a very comfortable spot). The golf cart was perfect for exploring the property. We roasted hotdogs over a campfire for dinner, followed by s’mores using the provided supplies. Highly recommend!
Rented the cabin for my husband and I to have a night away from the kids - it was more than I could ever hope for! Not a single detail is overlooked. The cabin is spacious and clean, the goats are super friendly, the property is quiet and so beautiful, and Ms Donna is an amazing hostess! We built a fire, lit the string lights, played music and grilled some steaks - such a perfect night. Beautiful weather and a beautiful night sky. Highly recommend and will definitely be back! Thank you Ms Donna!
We traveled with our 5 & 7 year old boys. They were 3&5 last time we visited and never stopped talking about "Miss DeeDe's cabin"- so we returned. We had so much fun again! This time the boys are bigger and they are better fisherman and we're so excited to catch some pretty bass. Again, "Miss DeeDees hospitality was awesome. Great breakfast a casserole, cinnamon rolls and kolaches! The cabin is so nice, cozy and clean and the boys love the loft beds. We did not see the deer this time but Domino the sweet cat and the cute goats are a bonus. We enjoyed s'mores on the fire pit (some complimentary of DeeDee) and way too many more and games as well as the golf cart and Big foot trail!! An awesome place to kick back, relax and enjoy the country! We'll likely return again!

The room/bath is in a building by itself, next to fenced goats. For check-in we just drove up to our room and went in.
Donna lives in a house on the same property, and came over to welcome us shortly after we arrived. There's lots to do: you have your own golf cart to drive around the large property, fire wood and a pit for your own fire (and fixings for s'mores), lots of games, and interesting decorations. Highly recommended and worth driving out of your way to stay. You should NOT stay here if you: want to be able to walk to bars/clubs or hate seeing antlers on walls.
We needed a respite from the city heat and decided to head to Donna’s place. We wish we would have planned to stay longer. It was really great family bonding time.
It’s difficult to find something a 9 yo and 17yo can both do to have fun. My daughter loved the goats, the outside cat, the trails, the golf cart and of course, the fun sleeping loft. My son liked the kayak for fishing, and the cornhole. We all loved the pool, the wildlife, the quiet and the way that Donna thought of everything we could need or want in a place like this…right down to the delicious breakfast casserole on the way out.
We’ll definitely be back when it’s a bit cooler! Thank you, Donna!
We will definitely be back. The cabin was beautiful and had everything you could imagine needing plus some. My daughters loved the loft beds and games. We barbecued and hung out around the firepit. Brushed the goats swam in the swimming pool. It was cold but really nice. We also went fishing. We caught a fish almost every cast. They would bite as soon as the bobber hit the water. The fishing poles and worms were provided! She gave us breakfast each morning that was so yummy. Wifi worked great with all 4 of us on it. I have not 1 bad thing to say about this place and we will for sure be going back during the summer.
This rental was absolutely amazing. The tranquility and peacefulness that you feel being at this property is beyond words. We enjoyed everything it offered from the comfortable cabin, to the cart rides down the property to the ponds, the scavenger hunts and all of the games we got to play. The fire pit was awesome we got to enjoy it through the cold days and nights and make s'mores. The grill and the gas outdoor kitchen were easy to use. Our kids loved being able to hang out with the goats and pet them. We loved trying out our luck fishing and riding the paddle boats. Riding the golf cart and riding around the property was so much fun for our kids. Donna is super nice, super responsive and her breakfast casseroles were delicious! We would definitely recommend this property to anyone. When we say we love it and had so much fun being here we absolutely mean it. Will definitely try to come back.
This rental is absolutely amazing! We loved every minute of it and plan on going back for a longer stay as we were just passing through this go around. The ambiance is perfect for relaxing and letting go of the outside world. Donna is very accommodating and all the extra special touches she provides really make you feel as though you are at home. This rental is not only relaxing but also includes adventure as you have access to the acreage which includes two ponds and a lovely wooded path to venture. The stay is cozy and don't let me forget to mention that the four legged friends are wonderful and friendly as well :) There is something for everyone to do here, even kids! Kids will have a blast fishing, swinging, making smores, searching for Big Foot, and most importantly making memories. I highly recommend visiting this lovely place and disconnecting yourself from the busy world.
This is our 2nd time staying here and we had the best time. We stayed 5 days. We loved fishing in the stocked pond. Kayaking to the turtles. Riding the trails in the golfcart. Swimming in the inground swimming pool. Playing all of the indoor and outdoor games. Roasting smores over the fire pit. Playing with the goats. And doing all this without sharing it with anyone. Donna is the nicest and her breakfasts that are included are so good. We drove the short distance to marshall to watch a movie 1 day and then an other day we drove the short distance to shreveport to the skating rink and boardwalk. I highly recommend this vrbo and will definitely return. Wifi and cable were a plus.
We stayed at the B&B over Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. We enjoyed relaxing under the large porch, while watching the goats frolic in their pen. The cabin is well appointed with a Keurig coffee maker, DirecTV, microwave & oven. Though we slept in the bed, the cabin has a large loft which would be a perfect place for older kids to sleep.
On Saturday, we went to Marshall for their Farmers Market and to visit the Harrison County Historical Museum (which was across the street from the Farmers Market). Then in the afternoon, we went to Carthage to see the Footprints in the Sand Monument and the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame.
On Sunday, we went to the International Boundary Marker, (only international boundary marker known to exist within the continental US) and to the Mansfield State Historical Site.
Don’t forget to visit Bigfoot, who was last seen wearing his swim trunks and scuba mask.
It was great to kick-back and relax and we hope to return soon!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a country motif vacation rental, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the charming and inviting atmosphere that awaited me.
The attention to detail in the country-themed decor was impeccable. Every corner of the rental exuded warmth and rustic charm, transporting me to a serene countryside retreat. The tastefully chosen furnishings, including cozy wooden accents and quaint vintage touches, truly enhanced the overall ambiance.
The scenic surroundings of the rental were an absolute treat. Waking up to breathtaking views of rolling hills, lush greenery, and the soothing sounds of nature was a genuine pleasure. It felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, allowing me to unwind and recharge my batteries in the most peaceful setting imaginable.
The amenities provided were top-notch and catered to every need. The comfortable and well-equipped outdoor kitchen equipment allowed me to indulge my culinary skills and prepare delicious meals. I also appreciated the comfortable beds that ensured a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploration.
The host’s warm and friendly hospitality truly made my stay exceptional. They were attentive an went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed.

Lovely, one bedroom cabin that has everything you need.
We had a wonderful time. We stayed right after Christmas 2016 and wanted to stay somewhere near Shrevport, LA for the Independence Bowl. We like staying in cabins and B&B's; this didn't dissapoint. We are a family of 5 but had room to relax and spread out. There are bunks, a fold out chair, and a cozy bed. The property is wondeful and the breakfasts yummy. There is a nice wooden deck with a fire pit and the owner has what you need to make smores. I think that was a sweet touch that we enjoyed. The owner had fishing poles, bait, and a golf cart we used. All of us had a blast fishing. Her ponds are stocked and the fish bite. My son who's not quite old enough for his drivers license had a blast driving us around the property. My younger children enjoyed the company of the two friendly cats on the property and we had fun watching the goats. The owner was very friendly and very helpful and if ever in the area again, we won't hestitate to stay here again. We had such a wonderful time making memories, away from it all, with our kids. The property is 20 minutes or so from restaurants and grocery stores, so if you need things like poocorn or drinks make sure to bring them with you or know that you will have to drive to get them. The drive is pretty easy but to any major city, it's about a 45 min drive.
This is our first B & B, and it did not disappoint! If you like the country, or want a place to kick back and unwind, this place is for you. Like to fish? check. Like to porch sit? check. Outdoorsy? check. Like to stay in? check. Looking for peace / quiet? check. Everything you want is here. My husband and I went for our anniversary, and this was perfect.
This cabin stay was exactly what we needed to unplug and enjoy quiet time! I cannot say enough how perfect everything was, I did not want to leave! Everything that you could need is already there, and if not, Dee Dee is eager to help! She was an amazing host and so thoughtful! She had breakfast premade for us to bake in the morning, which was delicious! You can really see how much she puts into this place and making sure you are taken care of. She went the extra mile as a host. If you are wanting to get away from your busy everyday life and enjoy time with your family, do not hesitate to book this stay! You won’t regret it!
We had the BEST Lavor Day weekend here! We highly recommend this place. We have a 9 and 6 yr old and they had so much fun. They loved the beds up high. Dee Dee was out of town but EVERYTHING was ready to go for us, she even left us a breakfast casserole for our first morning. We had so much fun exploring her property on the golf cart, the ponds, spending time with the cats and goats outside, playing corn hole, relaxing on the porch, on the swing, fires at night. One of our best VRBO experiences.
What a relaxing and beautiful cabin. Donna thinks of everything. If you are needing a place to unwind and a fun place for the kids, this is it! We will be back. We decided this is a must stay from now on when we are traveling to Dallas.
Small but perfect. We had so much fun, fishing, watching the goats, making smores, swimming. Everything was clean and the breakfast casserole was delicious. Donna is a super sweet host. I would highly recommend this stay.
