The hotel room is alright, we paid over $350 US dollars and yet when we got there we had to pay for everything and I mean EVERYTHING. No breakfast that comes with it. No dinner. Even had to pay for ice and water. To top it all off, they suddenly added this onsen tax that was never mentioned to us on the end of our stay. Put up a sign on the counter that was clearly made THE SAME DAY. I know cause they didn’t have that the night before when we got our car keys. I do not recommend this place. Made us pay so much money just for us to pay a lot more during our stay. Save your money.
Love staff & room with a view but give me a pillow
Great rate for an ocean front room. Spacious but dated. Has a nice onsen. Needs new pillows, no culture could possibly appreciate sleeping on a sack of cherry stones.
The location and facilities were terrific. The beach was not rocky at all and we were able to rent an umbrella and boogey board during our stay. Our room had a fantastic view of the ocean as well.
Amazing view from a room. Hotel was built in early 80’s and not renovated so room needs TLC here and there but maintained very well and clean to Japanese standards. Used higher end materials to build so it has nice atmosphere. Again the view is phenomenal. This was our 5th visit and will return again.
I went on the off season so a lot of the facilities were restricted or not open, but I still had a great time. The staff tried to speak in English to me and me in Japanese, so it was easy to communicate. The best part of the hotel however is the proximity to the beach. The view from your window is exactly like the picture and beautiful. The dinner and breakfast were also delicious!
Excellent stay. Female receptionists were very polite and kind. Nice welcome matcha green tea and a little pastry at the lobby during the check inn. Panoramic ocean view from the room. Affordable off season rack rates. I found some stains here and there in the room since the building is over 30 years old, overall public areas and room were well maintained and very clean. I’d definitely ret
Friendly and great staff, great breakfast, Hugh room, right on beach, great view, nice men’s and women’s bath, Private reserved ones not so good. Cute gift shop.
The hotel is located right by the ocean. Our room was on the nineth floor and had great ocean view. The room was clean and spacious. We had only breakfast at the hotel. It was a Japanese set breakfast not buffet. The portion was on the small side but tasty. I have to mention their Japanese slippers are the most comfortable to wear. We bought a pair at their gift shop. We will definitely stay there again.

The hotel has seen better days, but the staff are lovely, rooms are comfortable with spectacular views and the meals were good. Located conveniently across the street from the train station and the beach is beautiful, with direct access from hotel.
Great place to experience a traditional Japanese room and hospitality. Room also had a great view of the ocean. Very quiet except for the soothing sound of the waves. Hotel is within walking distance to the next town of Kawazu as well as the train station. Enjoyed our stay. Will come back again if we get the chance.

We enjoyed our stay at Imaiso, staying in a Japanese style room. Very comfortable tatami. Nice beach view and good onsen facilities. The area was very nice with lovely river walk and natural hot spring geyser. Would visit again.
