"This was an excellent value for the money location with big rooms, kitchen, bathroom ….. the biggest room so far we have stayed in during our vacation in Japan. I would highly recommend it for the location only a block or two from the train station, close walking distance to restaurants and unique shops. The beds are very comfortable although I don’t care for the pillows so I have been sleeping on the throw pillows. Unfortunately I picked up a nasty virus and have spent the last three days convalescing in the room. So disappointing but at least I’m comfortable."

"A great location - a few minutes to the station and 10-15 min walk to old town. Really nice Ryokan style facility - shoes off at the entrance, Tatami mats throughout, group and individual onsens on the top floor with views of the city And the breakfast buffet was an impressive array of eastern and western foods. "

"A must place to visit in Japan. Great ambience, delicious breakfast and dinner. Hot springs tub in private outdoors. Great place to hike with amazing view of small town from the top. Lots of gift shops and snack stores. Restaurants had long wait list. Air was clean, weather was perfect for T-shirt wear. During rain, there was a mist floating in the mountains. Love this place!!"
