Dirty and outdated rooms
The staff are welcoming however the rooms are dirty and outdated. The toilet seat had urine and the bathroom was mouldy.

Basic hotel in Thamel
This basic hotel is tucked away in an alley of Thamel. It is a reasonable, low-budget hotel. With free WiFi and breakfast, it is a good deal. The staff speak English and are pleasant and helpful. However, there was no ground transportation from the airport, and the taxi ride equals another night's stay.
