It took us 20 minutes of hunting around before we found the keys. The owner would take their time getting back to us so we were locked outside in the cold. We were told no smoking or else...

The owners really make you feel at home and go out of their way to give you hints & tips on how to make the most of your trip including beaches, bush walks & dining spots. Over New years the suggestion for local fireworks spots was great & a highlight for the kids. Overall a clean, cosy, well appointed cabin perfect for young families."

"Mist in the Gums is the most peaceful place and quite beautiful. Carol is an excellent host and very friendly. The cabin was so clean and had everything you would need. I would thoroughly recommend Mist in the Gums to anyone. please keep in mind it is quite a way from Lake Macquarie."
