I had high expectations for my stay at this hotel, but unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by several issues, most notably a severe case of food poisoning. I became ill after eating a meal from the hotel’s room service. The symptoms started shortly after the meal, and I ended up being hospitalised for two nights. My friend also fell ill the following day and required hospitalisation.
Since checking into the hotel, we had not eaten anywhere else, trusting that the hotel’s food would meet high safety standards. While the hotel management claimed that they found no similar reports, this does not change the fact that I experienced significant pain, stress, and disruption to my holiday. Instead of enjoying my trip, I spent days recovering in the hospital and then in my hotel room, unable to participate in planned excursions or make the most of my stay.
On top of this, the hotel has no lift, and there are a good number of stairs and steep inclines to navigate. This can be especially challenging in the hot weather or after a night out. While they do offer a shuttle to drive guests closer to their rooms, you still have to climb some stairs after.
On a more positive note, the rooms were bright, which I liked. However, I noticed some bugs on the bathroom floor, which was disappointing given the hotel’s standard.
While the property has its appealing aspects, this experience has left me with a negative impression. I would caution future guests to consider these facts.
