The room is not to be complained about. But I give a overall rate of 1 star, for very bad experience when checking in, almost feel fraud---still not knowing it is hotels.com or the hotel.
I booked a room for Feb, 3th, for 3 adults, 2 weeks ahead. The room type is business twin (so said in my order list), the price 80+ USD---was thinking it's with enough single beds to accommodate.
When we arrived, they give us a room with 2 single beds, which is not possible for 3 adults. And they insist that's the room I booked, and insist it's the fault of hotels.com and I should deal with hotels.com myself.
Then I had to pay an extra 500 TWD (about 16 USD I think) for a additional bed set up in the room.
My friend checked the room type on another site, which says available that very day and cost only 270 CNY (about 40 USD).
So to summarize: I paid dear for a cheap room, then paid extra to get over the night. Again, feel like bait and switch here.
Hotels.com, you have the info that I don't have now, like the price history of different room types, and the room type changing history of the hotel. Please explain, so I know who to blame when filing a complaint to Taiwan tourism authority.
