From the moment we entered the property we were blown away with the love and care that had been evidently put into this Design from the refurbished stable wall panelling to the polished concrete floors. Everything had been thought of the owners were absolutely lovely and accommodating we will highly recommend staying at this property to all of our friends and family!"

"My partner and I booked the place for a couples retreat. Unfortunately we broke up and needed to cancel the reservations. Even though we gave 2 weeks notice we were advised there’s a strict no cancellation rule… We decided to go anyway and make the most of it. We arrived at night and it was pitch black. It took us 20 minutes of hunting around before we found the keys. The owner would take their time getting back to us so we were locked outside in the cold. We were told no smoking or else...

"The place was great. Set up professionally, everything you could need. Bedding and linen was so good, had a couple of great sleeps. The backyard, especially lit up at night was lovely, and we nearly fell asleep on the daybed and missed dinner. Cannot recommend highly enough if you want to take it easy, and have beaches and amenities nearby."

The owners really make you feel at home and go out of their way to give you hints & tips on how to make the most of your trip including beaches, bush walks & dining spots. "Mist in the Gums is the most peaceful place and quite beautiful. Carol is an excellent host and very friendly. The cabin was so clean and had everything you would need. I would thoroughly recommend Mist in the Gums to anyone. please keep in mind it is quite a way from Lake Macquarie."

"The location of the property is excellent. With little kids during school holidays the stay was great for us. There’s so much to do along the foreshore. My 6 year old loves to fish and there’s rod holders built in along the waters edge. My 4 year old loved the park and water play area as well as the amusement park rides.
