Wonderful secluded getaway
We could not have asked for a better stay at Kristen's secluded Barndo! Property was beautiful with many activities to keep the group occupied. Short drive to the city and overall a perfect location. Clean, cozy, and already looking forward to booking our next visit!

I hate big cities, but I think I could live here. It is situated perfectly on the property. No ttraffic, no noise other than nature. Owners are very easy to get along with as well. Thanks for letting us enjoy your property.

Great lil getaway close to everything Kansas City
Great Property, the Dog loved it the most. The barndo is cute, and the big open space/garage was great for the cold weather and the teens to burn energy and played a few heated badminton and pickle ball games. It was clean and easy to get into. We will be back again.

Family getaway
This property is beautiful. The home was clean and well stocked with anything you might need. The garage was great for letting everyone burn off energy. Make sure you bring tick spray and check for ticks every time you go outside. It's a wooded area so you gotta expect them but they are extra bad.

The Perfect Stay
From the peace and tranquillity of the woods, to the comfortable ambiance of the cabin-themed interior, you could ask for a better place to gather with family and friends. The owners are caring, and prompt with their responses, and provide everything you need for a successful stay. Close proximity to everything the Kansas City metro area has to offer. Wonderful wonderful wonderful!!!

Peace & Relaxation
This place was PERFECT!!! We had plenty of room, the kitchen was well stocked and roomy, the beds were super comfy, and the fire pit outside was great (although it was very cold when we were there)! Our granddaughter absolutely loved the huge garage/game room!!! She took her roller skates and skated constantly! Since our son lives about 30 mins away I'm sure we will stay there again!! Absolutely loved this place!

A cabin getaway
This property was absolutely amazing. My sisters and I took a girls trip and it was everything that we could imagine. From being able to curl up and watch a show, To the fire pit, allowing us to talk and laugh and share memories along with s'mores was absolutely phenomenal! We saw deer, rabbit and frogs that made us smile but it was the tire swing by the pond that set off a fit of laughter. We highly recommend this property. You definitely won't regret it. Only correcting to the listing would be the pull out sofa bed is up in the loft area, not in the living room 1 down below.

"staycation" with out-of-town family
We booked this beautiful property to host my sister and her family while they were in town so we could have a staycation with them. We had a brilliant time relaxing, making smores, and exploring KC and Blue Springs. Our hidden gem find was Blue Springs Lake Beach to cool off, great find! The half that was garage had plenty of games for the kids to play, and they enjoyed their "giant fort." A great gem to enjoy nature, with the ability to enjoy all the city offers close by.

Private & quiet place. The house was a very cozy place for us all to hang out together. The kids could play in the large garage or enjoy the outdoors. Comfy beds and furniture, clean and accommodating. Minor issues were working the TV’s was a challenge due to remotes not set up, shower head malfunction, & no extra TP or trash bags. We managed and enjoyed our belated family Christmas/NYE.

Nice place close to the city
Nice secluded property just outside of town. Clean barndo with lots of wooded space and trails to walk. We saw deer at the back of the property. I took off 1 star because even though we had Wi-Fi, there was no connection to the internet. And the tv was streaming service only, so the tv didn’t work all weekend because…no internet. You might want to verify it’s working if that’s important to you. Would stay here again.

Unique and adorable
We had an amazing stay! The home was clean upon arrival. It is very cute and surprisingly roomy for 8 people! All the needed items to cook and grill, we did pick up charcoal, and a great kitchen island to hang out at. Beds were comfy. The one bathroom for 8 poses a few challenges but we figured it out! The highlight for us was the other half of the barn that wasn’t converted…it had tons of games and a net for our invented game of garage ball…the 6 kids had a blast and mom and dad enjoyed kicking back with a cold one in our chairs whilst they played for hours in there…it does have a fan or two in there but it does get hot so keep the garage door open. The fire pit area was nice and had some unique rock benches. Overall, great time and wonderful accommodations!

Just the escape we needed
Graduation weekend can be extremely stressful, it was really nice to have this little Haven to go to to be together and relax. It rained quite a bit while we were there but the porch overhang is perfect for sitting to listen to it. The garage is huge so no one was bored while it rained and there is so much room for activities! Grocery stores and restaurants within 15 minutes you're immediately back to everything you could possibly need if you want to be. The frog chorus at night was enchanting. The warning from the house about ticks and some poison ivy around the wilder grounds should be taken seriously but, with precaution, you would be missing out if you did not explore a little! Watch your head on the upstairs bedrooms we did have a couple of head bonks getting into the very comfortable beds. Although there is only one bathroom the rainfall shower head, which is high enough to accommodate the tall members of our family, was quite wonderful. Not only would we recommend this host to others, we would happily stay here again ourselves. Just remember, even though it's a little tricky to find it, that means no one's going to find you on this escape!!

Very relaxing, away from town but close enough to go eat and get supplies. Our granddaughter loved the game area when she would visit. The weather was rainy and it definitely made us want to sleep in and then lounge with a hot cup of coffee. There was a problem with the WiFi when we first arrived and Kristen got it resolved very quickly. We enjoyed our stay!

Daughter’s Wedding
Douse was absolutely lovely and very clean and tidy. It was a great escape from the city. My daughters wedding venue was close by and this was so convenient for us to stay here and get ready and be there for the ceremony on time. I would definitely love to stay here again just to get away from the city and have a family weekend. The family absolutely adored the fire pit and spending time outside talking about the wedding the day after. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Retreat within the city
Pros: Newish barndominium on acreage. Big indoor space with games for the kids to play. Nice motif inside Quiet surroundings if you don’t mind crickets and cicadas :) Comfy beds and couch Cons: The lagoon and pond were covered with algae which was gross. Patio furniture was rather uncomfortable No coffee filters for the coffee maker Internet didn’t work half the time Other: Water had been shutoff due to non-payment but owner quickly resolved the issue
