The Historic Holmes Place is perfectly located within minutes of Crown Center, Children's Mercy Hospital, Union Station, Downtown Kansas City, The Plaza, and Westport. The home is set up to comfortably to accommodate large groups with 2 king beds and 2 queen beds and plenty of seating in both the living and dining room as well as a bonus space in the attic. The home has high speed WIFI for zoom calls or gaming. After a long day enjoy walking to one of the local favorites Teocali or Succotash!

The historic neighborhood provides a variety of local favorites within walking distance and everything else is within minutes! The property is located right off 71 highway which provides easy access to I-35 and I-70. Once you get to the property it will be easy to park your car and use public transportation or walk everywhere. We are right up the street from Children's Mercy hospital and Crown Center. Crown Center attaches to Union Station via a skybridge so you can easily catch the KC streetcar and ridge all the way to the river market for free. Detailed information is listed in our electronic guidebook that all guests will have access to prior to check in.

Walk right into the grand foyer that features a bench for sitting and kicking off those shoes, an additional chair, and stained glass window and lighting that is full of character!
Living room: Kick back and relax on the soft leather couch or enjoy a game night in this comfy living room. There are two additional chairs for guests to all enjoy a movie on the 50" flat screen TV which is loaded with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and YouTube so you can log in and feel right at home.
* Kitchen: The kitchen is equipped with all the plates, dishes, pots and pans that you need to prepare a meal. There is not a conventional oven in the home but there are two large toaster oven/air fryers and a gas stove top. A Keurig coffee maker, drip coffee pot, French press and pour over as well as a variety of k-cups, creamer and sugar are provided for all guests. There is a small 1/2 guest bathroom on the lower level off the kitchen.
* Dining Room: The dining room is connected to the living room and features a beautiful table with comfortable cloth chairs to accommodate up to 8 guests.
* Lower Level Bedroom: There are 4 bedrooms in the home. One bedroom with a cozy queen size bed and luxurious bedding on the lower level off of the dining room.
* Three upstairs bedrooms: The second floor has 3 bedrooms. The two large bedrooms have KING size beds! The master also includes an additional TV, closet space, vanity with a chair that can be used to get ready or a as a workspace. The other two bedrooms are super comfortable with additional closet space and nightstands.
* Two Full Bathrooms: There are 2 full bathrooms on the second floor of the home. One has a large double vanity to accommodate several people getting ready at the same time. One bathroom has a tub/shower combo and the other features a tiled shower. Tommy Bahama Luxury bath products provided, including: shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. One large towel and one wash cloth will be provided per guest as well as dark make-up towels for convenience.
*Half bath located on the lower level right off the kitchen/dining room.
* An additional finished attic is available with an air mattress and desk space to set up for work or a quiet space to relax/read/meditate.
*** Parking: There are 3 free designated parking spots located behind the home that is accessible through a side alley off of 26th Street. Parking in front of the home is available but is street parking only***

*PARTIES - All gatherings must be limited to 12, this is monitored and guests violating this rule will be charged a mandatory $700 fine. NO EVENTS OR PARTIES ARE ALLOWED.
*PETS - We do allow pets with host approval. If you are planning on bringing a pet please notify us once you complete your booking. There is a $75 fee for one pet or $100 for two that is collected once the booking is confirmed and paid in full. Contact us for questions. (Guests are required to pick up after their pet, host provides dog bag stations.) There is no fenced in space at this home but the neighborhood is perfect for walking. There is a $500 fine for any unauthorized pets.
*Full refund will be provided if guest cancels more than five days prior to arrival minus any processing fees. No refund will be given if cancelled within five days of arrival.
