The space
You'll be staying on the first two floors of a lovingly restored (2018) historic brick building. 3400 square feet, with 4 small porches and 2 huge decks overlooking the Crossroads District and West Side.

A ridiculous amount of indoor and outdoor space in the heart of downtown. Ideal for wedding groups, business trips, teams, family vacations, or friends traveling together. If you need to accommodate more than 8 people, let me know.

A 4-car private drive and loads of free street parking out front. The perfect launch pad for your downtown adventures.

Do expect normal city noise and mildly creaky floors. This is a 100-year-old urban home, after all. No parties, please. You've got plenty of entertainment options just blocks away.

Getting Around
Lots of your destinations will be within walking distance if you're working or playing downtown. Light rail runs a couple blocks away, and Bike Share KC rentals and scooters are available, as well as a comprehensive bus system. Uber is also popular around here.

You'll have a private driveway and free street parking at our location, a quiet residential boulevard just around the corner from all the action.

Other things to note
This is a neighborhood with noise expectations, not a spot for parties or events. No shouting, fighting, honking horns, loud music, etc. Common sense stuff.

I supply bedding, towels, equipped kitchens, and all basic amenities as well as high speed internet, and smart tvs for you to log on to Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube Tv, etc. (no traditional cable). If you have questions about specific items, feel free ask.

The first floor has two fully functional wood stoves. If you'd like to use them, make sure to read the instructions in the House Manual. The nearby Home Depot on Linwood usually has firewood.

Great spot near lots of restaurants and shops. Lots of space to spread out, plenty of queen beds. Had a hard time warming up the first floor even with the thermostat and the wood stove; second day it was warmer outside and the temp inside was better.

Older home so expect squeaky floors but lots of beds and space for a family. Loved there were lots of games available and a couple great coffee shops. AJ was quick to respond. Really enjoyed our stay was close to everything.

Great townhouse!
What a beautiful property! We had more than enough space for 2 families and loved having 2 living areas. Very nicely decorated - kitchen was fully stocked and we were all very comfortable. We walked to Manny's Mexican restaurant for lunch one afternoon and it was really good! We were in town for a family wedding and it was super convenient to the church and reception. Thanks so much, AJ - we had a wonderful weekend!

Maverick wedding
Wonderful property to stay. We were in town for a family wedding at the Maverick, lovely venue and we could just walk over from our VRBO. Our place was very spacious for our entire family, wish we could have stayed longer. Lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance.

Amazing spot
Had some old military friends come up for a birthday weekend in KC. This spot was perfect. Lots of room and centrally located to nightlife in Kansas City. The host was great with communication and left stickies throughout the house with good info on them. Would 100% stay here again.

Brought of group of small business owners to my hometown and this location was PERFECT for working, breaking up into smaller groups, relaxation and a quick walk to Kansas City's best restaurants, bars and attractions.

Plenty of space and great location
7 School Buddies and we all had plenty of space. Between Uber, Bird Scooters, and walking, almost everything was within 10 minutes. This was a perfect place to get around KC with ease. The homeowner was extremely response and even checked the home and found a missing pair of earbuds. I would gladly stay here again. Do not simply pick a place that costs less…you will be sorry. This is the right place to choose

Property was exactly perfect for us. 8 adults all in their own beds. Close to convention center...
We were in town for a convention and it would have been easy walk to Convention center but it was 20 degrees and windy. Would have loved to use the decks as they had great views. We donated a blender(smoothies and Margaritas) are our groups favs. SO hope it is still working next year when we return. Thanks,

Our family stayed here in February - three couples and two small children - and enjoyed the spaciousness and very well-appointed kitchen. Our host, AJ, was very easy to work with. The beds are super comfy. Parking was plentiful.

Family gathering for funeral
Sorry for the somber title, but we needed a space for our wide spread family to congregate for mom’s funeral. The spaciousness of the porches and living spaces, Was exactly what we needed to gather, plan, and share. The kitchen is well appointed and the location is great for walking in the city. I highly recommend this accommodation!

Quick Family Getaway
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back when meeting in the KC area (my family is in St Louis and I am in Colorado Springs). We enjoyed gathering on both the front and back deck as well as the large dining room table. The downstairs shower was divine. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed morning crepes at Chezelle Creperie, cocktails at Percheron Rooftop bar (both within walking distance) and an authentic Italian dinner at Garozzo's. We also enjoyed a tour of the WWI Museum. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Breaking Grandma Out!
Wonderful house for our family to enjoy Grandma after MONTHS of separation. Spacious. Adequately supplied. Our family is big on GAMES, so the comfy sitting areas were perfect! Soft chairs, movable end tables... We WOULD rent again!

Large Down KC Location
AJ’s property was perfect for a week long stay in the KC downtown area for a wedding. The house offers tons of space and the kitchen is stocked with all the essentials needed for cooking family style meals. Also located within walking distance to lots of food/entertainment. AJ was easy to communicate with and we were all super pleased with our stay. Would definitely stay there again if looking for a place that can accommodate a large group of people for a family gathering or bachelor/bachelorette party.
