We have one of the very best units in Wai'Ula'Ula, located close to the exclusive Wai'Ula'Ula amenity center and with panoramic unobstructed views of the ocean and picturesque coast to the south. We are on the ground floor in the 4-plex "A" building on the side away from the road and have our own private lawn area. We look straight down the golf course fairway to the Pacific beyond. Come view an awesome sunset over the Pacific from our lanai!
RESORT AMENITIES: we provide access to all facilities of Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, including tennis and the two Championship golf courses, for all members of your group. The resort does charge a fee for this, however. Minutes away from Kauna’Oa (Mauna Kea) and Hapuna beaches, two of the finest swimming beaches on the Big Island. Please ask us how to apply for the resort Amenity Package and take advantage of charging privileges, as well as access to each resort’s fitness center, pool, beach towels, chaises and umbrellas, preferential resort parking and discounted rates for golf.
IN ADDITION, WE OFFER UP TO *3 HOURS OF FREE CONCIERGE SERVICES*. Upon arrival you will be greeted by an Iokua Luxury Rentals Specialist. The greeter will assist you with all features of the property and also provide you Concierge Services to maximize your experience with us during your stay. WE WELCOME FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN. Our condo is furnished in tasteful contemporary style with a local island flair. It comfortably sleeps 8. Two well-appointed master suites with king-size beds plus a 3rd bedroom furnished for kids, with dual bunk beds, each sleeping 1 or 2 on the bottom plus a 3rd on the top bunk. There is a SmartTV in the kids' room. Unit includes laundry with full-size washer and dryer.
This 2,100 SQ.FT. GROUND FLOOR condominium was new in 2006 and offers spacious indoor living areas and an expansive wrap-around outdoor patio/lanai. The unit has coffered ceilings in the great room, dining room, and dual master suites, zoned air conditioning throughout, plantation ceiling fans, and cherry wood cabinetry. The large kitchen has an island for casual seating, granite countertops, and is equipped with top-of-the-line appliances.
Large living room/family room with 65" Smart TV and cable. High-speed wireless internet is there when you need it. Lanai is fully equipped with Wolf gas BBQ, bar sink, and under counter refrigerator. This is an ideal setting for outdoor entertaining or relaxing with a cold beverage in the afternoon sun.
EXCLUSIVE WAI'ULA'ULA AMENITY CENTER is situated just a few yards away and offers a beautiful infinity swimming pool, two hot tubs, plus a fully equipped fitness center. It is for the exclusive use of owners and guests at Wai'Ula'Ula.
Exciting Mauna Kea Beach Hotel $180Million renovation tentative schedule April 2024 to early 2025. Their top priority is to minimize the impact of the renovation on the guests:
+ Beach Access: Mauna Kea Beach operations continue as normal.
+ Restaurants: Mauna Kea Resort's dining options, except Restaurant #3, will remain open with temporary occasional closures. Guests will always have one breakfast, one lunch, and two dinner options daily.
+ Pools: Mauna Kea Resort pool will be remodeled sometime in 2025. Access at The Westin Hapuna remains unchanged.
+ Fitness Centers: Mauna Kea fitness center operations continue as normal until the new fitness center is ready; The Hapuna Fitness Center is available.
+ Golf Courses: Mauna Kea Course closed from April 15 to November 15, 2024. The Westin Hapuna Golf Course is open and operation remains unchanged.
+ Tennis: Open and operation remains unchanged.
+ Spa Services: while Mauna Kea Spa is closed, the Guests are able to use the Hapuna Spa by Mandara.

'I am sitting in the living room of the Hopkins' condo as I type. My 5-year-old son is napping (hours on the beach and pool can wear even the most determined non-sleeper down) on 'the coolest bunk beds in the world;' my wife and daughter walked up to the infinity pool for more swim time. The condo is top-notch in every way. It is beautifully furnished and situated in a great location for views as well as access to the pool and fitness center.
The location of the condo development on the grounds of the Mauna Kea Resort is excellent. This is the first time we have stayed in Hawaii and not felt packed in with other vacationers. We are a short ride to the Hapuna Prince Beach Resort and its amazing beach and are within a 15 minute drive of a whole range of other resorts. But the best part is, when we’re at the condo, we don’t feel like we’re in resortville! In other words, this place offers the best of both worlds. We’ll be back!'

'Quite simply, the condo was spectacular - our family was there for the first week of 2010 and our only regret was that we would have liked to have spent more time there. In the past we have stayed at the Mauna Kea Hotel; however, now that we have 2 small children we find it challenging to stay in hotels. Staying at this condo was a great balance - we had a luxurious, spacious condo with every amenity that you could imagine plus had signing privileges at the Mauna Kea which was a 5 minute drive. We were treated and felt as if we were guests at the hotel but felt that we were at an advantage since we were able to sleep in a beautifully furnished, 2100 square foot home as opposed to a 500 sq. foot room. Did I mention the amazing views? Highly recommended and we will be back!'

Your expansive, spectacular ocean view just took our breath away every morning as we lingered over our aromatic Kona coffee on the lanai. Several in our party had not visited the Big Island before and experiencing it with your place as our home base was just a giant bonus. Having access to the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Prince resorts could not have been more convenient. I even used the shuttle back to the townhouse when our group split up on various adventures and I was without a car and it was so easy and fast. We swam with turtles off the Mauna Kea beach and found the snorkeling there surprisingly good. The easy access to horseback riding in Waipio, Manta ray snorkeling from the Kona harbor and art browsing in Hawi, made us realize that your location just truly can’t be beat.
We rarely (if ever) say we want to return to a place because we like to try something new every time we travel (so many places so little time!). But this was so special and worked out so well for our group, we would very much like to return to your piece of paradise. So many, many mahalos for helping put smiles on the faces of our teenagers, taking the work stress away from my husband and making our family getaway the best yet!!'

Wai’ula’ula is located on the mountain side of Mauna Kea Resort and has a private amenity center that includes a recreational pavilion center equipped with complete kitchen, BBQ, lounges with ample seating and large flat screen TV, fitness center, infinity pool, keiki pool and hot tub.
Mauna Kea Resort is a gated community which allows you to experience and access to some of the best beaches in the world, Kauna’oa Beach and Hapuna Beach. Amenities at the resort include two championship quality golf courses, the Mauna Kea Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., and the Hapuna Prince Golf Course. The Club at Mauna Kea access is optional and at separate cost and provides tennis courts, Hotel pool and beach service, spa, along with an expansive 2,500 square foot fitness center.
We recommend our guests to rent a car. Parking is available at the Condo.
