"Our stay at Ruokan Hiyoshi was the highlight of our day trip to Chichibu. It's about 7 min walk from the Seibu-Chichibu station, and 20 min walk to the Chichibu Shrine.The guesthouse was very clean, the amenities were excellent, and the owner was extremely accommodating and friendly! 2 of us in the group do not eat meat, and there was just NO vegan option at any restaurant, which was very sad, but you can find few (double check the ingredients) at the convenient stores (e.g. 7eleven, family...

"The hospitality of the staff from the front desk, ushers, servers, restaurant staff were superb and outstanding. They were attentive, considerate and polite. The food served during dinner were fantastic. We had their dinner 2 nights in a row and my family agreed that this has to be one of the best meals we have had in Japan hotel so far in this trip. The high quality hospitality and food made us overlook the slightly older condition of the hotel. We will definitely recommend and visit here...

"It was perfect for our family of three. Walking distance to the station and arena. The stairs to the kitchen living room area are a little steep. Bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry are down stairs."

Found a good new hotel brand WITH an ONSEN!

"Great hotel. I may continue to use them in the future if they are available in my travel destination locales. Basic amenities are always available at the ground floor. Staff was friendly. Onsen was practical, but most importantly, it has an outdoor ONSEN. I only wonder if the women's ONSEN is designed differently, as they don't switch the onsen's on different days. If I did have a single complaint, it would be that they only provide (1) pillow per bed, and that the design of the pillow may not be for everyone. It's the type where the edges of the pillow have a thicker fluff anf firmness, and then towards the center of the pillow, there is a dip/concavity. I struggled to find a comfortable pillow rotation for me. Again, that's my only personal issue with the stay. "

"Our stay was great. Checkin was easy just use the machine add your details and get code of the room. Room was good, we had view of Shinkansen and trains. Breakfast was delicious we loved it and again checkout was easy. Cheerful and helpful staff, clean hotel and delicious healthy breakfast. Thank you hotel Sun!!!"
