"This is an old merchant house that has been nicely remodeled as a hotel. It's smack in the middle of Tomonoura's historic renewal district. The room I had was spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed. This hotel requires some pre-planning: getting the shuttle bus from Fukuyama, making sure basic needs are met (no onsite staff, except at breakfast time). "An excellent place to stay if you’re biking the Shimanami Kaidō. The views are breathtaking, and the apartment is incredibly comfortable. "A few minutes walk from rail station. Clean comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Has a very varied and delicious breakfast. Would stay here again for sure. The cable car that takes you up the mountain to all the sights is a pleasant stroll away along a covered shopping arcade"
