"This hotel is run by an older Japanese couple and feels like staying in someone’s home. The motel is basically a Motel 6 in style but much cleaner and nicer. Although I speak limited Japanese I felt welcomed.The beds are Western style and very comfortable. The room was very clean. Breakfast was tea, coffee, or apple juice and delicious croissants. "The team at Hakuba Canadian Lodge made this place great! We stayed early in the season so we were the few (only?) guests in the place. The team kindly picked us up from Happo bus terminal on our arrival and even drove us to a supermarket for groceries (proper big supermarket, not a convenience store). One person in our group fell ill after a few days skiing and the team went above and beyond to drive us to a clinic to see a doctor. The cabin itself is quite aged but is very well maintained....
