Centrally located in the middle of the Flathead Valley, this charming and cozy historic home has very easy access from Hwy 2 and the 93 Bypass, and from there it’s a quick drive to Whitefish (15 min), Flathead Lake (15 min), the airport (15 min), and Glacier Park (45 min). It is within walking distance to downtown, and is a five minute drive to Foys Lake, hiking parks, or big shopping centers, if that’s more your speed.
Guests staying October- April, ask us about bringing a pet!
15 minutes to the airport, Whitefish, Flathead Lake, and 45 minutes to Glacier Park! Kalispell Center Mall and Downtown Kalispell are within walking distance and the big box stores like Best Buy, REI, Target, Ulta, and Cabelas are a 5 minutes drive!
We strive to create an experience for our guests that is as close to home as possible, and for us that starts in the kitchen. We provide a full complement of cooking and eating utensils and an assortment of spices, oils, and commonly used condiments, as well as a full coffee bar complete with Keurig coffee, an electric tea kettle, and a grind and brew drip coffee maker.
In the unfortunate event that you have to do laundry while you're on vacation, we have a washer and dryer for you to use as well, as well as laundry detergent.
Throw some tunes on the record player, read a book, play some games, or sit back and check out the local news on TV or binge on your latest Netflix obsession; if you need a day inside to chill out, our Airbnb is the place to be! Don’t forget to connect to the free WiFi so you can post all of your gorgeous shots of the Flathead Valley!
Our beautiful tile shower will help you unwind at the end of your day of hiking Glacier National Park or skiing Whitefish Mountain, followed by a restful night's sleep in one of our two cozy queen beds.
In the hotter months we have a window AC unit in the living room, and each bedroom also has a portable fan.
Our guests will have sole access to the entire two-bedroom, one- bath home. We have a smallish fenced backyard that is shared with the neighbor (our family member).
A family member lives in a separate building on the same property as the Airbnb. He uses the back yard often so you’ll probably see him, and in the summertime he will probably offer to share his garden fare! We visit often and sometimes bring our sweet dog, so you may also see us and Juggs the dog!
Our rental is located in an industrial/business district surrounded by humble, historical homes, with easy access to two major highways. We are about a block away from the Rails to Trails bike path as well as the Kalispell Parkline Trail, a five minute drive to Lone Pine State Park, Foys Lake, and Herron Park, and a five minute walk to the mall and downtown, which offers a wide range of choices in dining, shopping, coffee shops, bakeries, and one really tasty ice creamery. Note that there is a tire shop across the street so there is potential for some noise during business hours!
The easiest way to get around Kalispell is to drive, although there are a few good bike trails and a lot of places within walking distance, depending on what "walking distance" is for you. There is free street parking in front of the rental. There are also taxis in the area as well as both Uber and Lyft if you don't feel like driving or don't have a car.
Some guests love to take advantage of the Mountain Climber, our local bus service.
If you’re heading to Glacier Park or the forest, taking some bear spray is a really good idea. Ask us about renting bear spray (buying new is around $50 per canister and you can’t take it with you on the plane when you leave)!
—Please remember that this is not a hotel, it is a home. Please treat it as if it were your own. It is wasteful to need to replace stained towels and sheets, so please take care to keep them as clean as possible.
—Please let us know ahead of time what time you expect to check in/out.
—Please thoroughly rinse your dishes before loading them in and running the dishwasher, or wash them and put them away before check-out. In the interest of conserving water and energy, please run the dishwasher only if you have a full or nearly full load.
—We don’t have a disposal and do have rather sensitive, older pipes and drains in this hundred-year old house, so please help out by scraping food bits, congealed oils/fats, and coffee grounds into the garbage.
—We have provided an assortment of cleaning supplies that you can use should the need arise; they are all located on the shelf above the washer and dryer.
— Makeup ruins our white towels! Please only use the provided black makeup washcloths for makeup removal.
—You may use the washer and dryer and the included detergent. Place laundry pod in the drum before clothing and empty the lint trap in the dryer after every load. Please take care of our washer and dryer as if it were your own, and do not overload or wash extremely dirty/sandy laundry.
—Please keep food in the kitchen and dining areas. We would like to avoid ants in the house so if you could help us by keeping any and all food items out of the bedrooms and couch area we would appreciate it.
—Only people should be in the bathtub. Please do not wash shoes, luggage, clothes... anything other than you!
— No open flames allowed in the home. This includes gas and propane heaters, stoves, and candles.
—Take care of our furniture and fixtures; watch your kiddos around fragile items such as the record player or dishes.
—Upon check out, please follow instructions on check out list on the wall by the front door.
THANK YOU ahead of time for being conscientious, respectful guests!
