"Excellent location. This is a small hotel surrounded by restaurants, cafés, etc. As it was a tatami room, I was expecting the possibility of musky odor, but thankfully there was none! 😊 Room was just right for 3 people max. The futon was soft & comfy & warm despite the crazy Akita winter (personally it was too warm, I was sweating. 😂) The only con is, because we left the window slightly ajar for air flow, we could hear the very loud & obnoxious laugh from another guest's room (I think?) which was parallel to our windows. It went on from 12~2am. Not exactly their fault & we were too sleepy to complain. 😂 "

"Location was unbeatable. 30 sec from the station. Even though it was right next to the station, we didn't hear the train noise at all. Enjoyed watching trains coming and going."

"Quite a nice stay at Guesthouse Fuga. The lady owner is lovely and the included breakfast was good too. Twin room with air con quite spacious and there is a desk and chair, a couple of coathangers. Just me but if you had 2 people sharing- 1 person gets a bed, the other person gets a fold out bed. I slept fine and area very quiet. A parking spot at the front door is excellent. All rooms are upstairs so you need to be able to walk up about 15 stairs. 1 toilet and 1 washbasin upstairs but I didn't have to wait. The reason I gave it 4 stars is the shower has to be accessed by going outside the front door into a shed. Ok in mild weather as now but would not good in the winter. Towels have to be hired for 200y as at hostels. As always if you get a noisy person, they can be heard in other rooms so I had to ask a lady to be quiet at 630am. Easy walk to samurai street and restaurants. Take a torch if you go out at night as street lighting not very good."
