Kona Plaza, located right in the heart of Kailua-Kona, is a quiet and private condominium building within walking distance of everything you want to do in Kona. Just across the street, you can go to the beach, the pier, shopping, and to the best restaurants in town. This condo unit (303) is located on the third floor overlooking beautiful Kailua Bay with a direct ocean view.

Totally remodeled in 2018, the condo has one bedroom with a new King sized bed and a very comfortable new queen size foldout couch and a new Murphy/queen bed in the living room (sleeps 2-6 people). Blow up mattresses are also available if the kids/adults want to sleep on the lanai (Our boys love sleeping outdoors on the lanai). The condo has recently been completely renovated and redecorated in a tropical and comfortable island style. It includes a fully equipped kitchen for cooking (new dishwasher) as well as a washer/dryer inside the unit.

Guests of Kona Plaza unit 303 can enjoy the onsite salt water (no chlorine) pool, sun decks, BBQ area (steps away), and secure onsite underground garage parking. Nearby, you will find additional shops, art galleries, beach apparel stores, hair salons, spas, jewelry stores, and great restaurants. Perfect location for tourists or seasoned travelers.

This location is perfect for the World Championship Ironman Triathlon. You can watch the swimming portion of the competition from the lanai or one of the sundecks and the marathon (on Ali'i Dr) from the lanai as well. Spinner Dolphins jump out front for your entertainment almost daily! The huge sound reduction sliding glass doors out to the lanai overlook Ali'i Drive and the ocean and block out any noise. The glass sliding doors are made of soundproof glass and provide a very quiet experience for everyone in the unit. Central building air conditioning is provided, with a new controller for more accurate and comfortable climate control.

Perfect condo
The condo was perfect! It was clean and comfortable. There was everything you would ever need. The large lanai had a great view - I saw whales every day including a beautiful breach! It was easy access to the main roads to get to anywhere on the island. You could walk to many great restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend!

Communication with owner was excellent. She was very accommodating and even allowed us to drop our luggage early so we didn't have to drive around all day with our bags in our car. The place is very well equipped with kitchen goods, beach & snorkel gear, toiletries, etc. You can't beat the location - shops/restaurants/bars/pier/beach all within walking distance. We saw about 40 dolphins from the patio. My only criticism (if you can call it that) is the oversized furniture. Two enormous reclining chairs are in the living area and there is no where to move them if you open the sleep-away & trundle bed. The furniture on the patio is also difficult to get around. We were out most of the day, anyway. I would definitely stay here over a hotel because of all the amenities.

A Hawaiian Gem! Fully stocked!
In the heart of Kailua-Kona! The best part was waking up to the sounds of the ocean waves and ending our evening with the sunset and sounds of music from nearby establishments. The apartment complex is quiet and secured. The hosts have really thought of everything. There was not one item missing from this home. I especially appreciated the array of spices available. It was great to have enough dishes supplied in the house. The house has all the beach gear you need (chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment for ALL ages, ice chests, water bottles, and even sunscreen!!!) We will definitely stay here again when returning to the island!

The Condo very nice and clean, nice view from balcony, shopping centers and restaurants, Ice Cream shop, very close by from Condo! In fact, when you leave your Condo, it's a very short walk to all the shops and restaurants! We highly recommend this Condo and another Condo just across, we stayed there our last night when we returned from Maui. Check it out!

Great location and very responsive Host.
The host was very responsive answering our questions during the booking process. The Condo is located on Alii Dr. across the street from the beach, walking distance to shops and restaurants. The unit is clean and well stocked; everything from shampoo and conditioner to a first aid kit. TV has numerous paid channels and WiFi is available. There is secure parking in the basement parking garage and there is an elevator to the unit which is on the 3rd floor. Although there is $165 cleaning fee the check- in instructions notify you that you must strip the bed and wash and dry any excess towels used during your stay (you are allowed 1 towel and 1 washcloth per guest) before checking out. Fortunately the washer and dryer were not working so we did not have to spend the last morning of our stay doing laundry.

Outstanding location, large lanai, clean home
My family of 4 stayed for 3 nights in June, 2022 and we loved the place. My teenage kids slept on the pull-out couch and the murphy bed, which made for a full living room space, but the large size of the lanai more than made up for the restricted space when both beds were pulled out. The secured garage with parking space and elevator up to the floor was an added bonus. We were also really grateful for the closet containing snorkel and beach gear...everything we needed was available. Location of the apartment could not be better--right in the center of Kailua-Kona just off Ali'i drive, with views of the bay and sounds of the town. ABC store across the street. Full kitchen, clean and modern bathroom, and central air conditioning. Communication with Mary was excellent--she helped in several instances prior to and during our stay. If I have the opportunity, I would stay here again without hesitation.

Mary and Tracy thought of everything in setting this condo up. All of the utensils, pots, and pans in the kitchen are clean and functional (nonstick pans in a rental that are actually nonstick, brand new baking sheets, and knives that work! So nice!) Beds are great and we had tons of sleeping space for our family of 4. Location is walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The view from the lanai is awesome. Definitely recommended!

This condo was just perfect for the two of us. The location is convenient to lots of restaurants and shopping. The bay is a few minutes away. The view was lovely, we even saw spinner dolphins from the lanai. The condo itself is equipped with everything you will need if you choose to cook. It took me awhile to locate the pool, which is a nice size with comfortable chairs and friendly people. All the restaurants we tried were great and service was good. I can't wait to return!!

Excellent Stay!
We had an excellent experience at Mary’s condo. It was clean and very well supplied. There wasn’t a single thing we wanted that we couldn’t find in the condo. The bed was quite comfortable and the condo was very quiet. The air conditioning worked well enough that we often had to turn it off and just use fans/slider open. The location can not be beaten - walking distance to snorkeling out front and a park a block away. It was nice to see the condo association improving the property. We visited the pool once and it was quite nice. Overall you can’t go wrong renting this property! We are planning our next Hawaii trip and will be making 303 Kona Plaza a stay on our travels. Trip from hell
It looks like the floor guys are going to be working again on the 3rd floor tomorrow morning so we have to be out around 8am, like today. Tomorrow is our flight so we can’t be stuck in the unit. We wouldn’t have rented this place if we knew it was going to be like this. We can’t sleep in, we bought groceries we couldn’t use because we can’t be in the unit. There was sand in the bedsheets and my wife has a rash on her butt. The TV remotes do not work. We are not doing the laundry because we won’t have time. The parking pass is supposed to be green and we have the out of date blue one. I hope the car isn’t towed because someone put a violation notice under the windshield wiper last night. We are very dissatisfied customers. Trip from hell, for sure. Having finally had a few hours to spend here, your place would’ve been lovely. We can see that you took a lot of care with it. Unfortunately It seems that you need to sort out your communication with the building. Our trip was ruined. We aren’t that picky about accommodations, but do expect to be able to access them and not get kicked out at 8 am like it’s a halfway house. I’m sorry this happened, and I hope you can figure it out with the HOA. But we are not paying for this. Luckily we were only here for two nights, so it’s a relatively cheap lesson.
