"This property was AMAZING. We came here from a different hotel because the previous hotel was terrible . Thankfully this hotel exceeded our expectations. Staff was attentive and friendly . The rooms were very spacious. The restaurant had good food. I will definitely stay here again when I come back . Thank you everyone for your amazing service !!"

"I had a wonderful time during my 4- night stay at Ubumwe Grand Hotel. Lovely service, comfortable rooms and very pleasant staff. Manzi ( Roof top Restaurant staff) was exceptional. Also the hotel has an amazing roof top view of Kigali both during the day and at night. I would highly recommend Ubumwe Grande Hotel in Kigali to anyone visiting Kigali. Kigali is indeed a lovely, clean city. I plan to stay at Ubumwe Grande Hotel when next I visit Kigali, Rwanda. Keep it up."

"All the staff were very nice and warm and made us feel very welcomed. Starting from the manager, Kai, who checked us in and explained everything about the property to us, to the service staff who brought us water, the staff who started the fire in our room and the the waiter who served us during the meals. Small touches like cleaning up our boots and loaning us the gaiters. Chef coming out to ask what we liked. Really appreciate Ed"

"We had an amazing stay at Ruhondo. The staff were all so welcoming and kind, particular mention to Jana 😊. The rooms are basic but clean and the beds are very comfortable. The food in the restaurant is fantastic. We had a lovely walk/hike along the lakeside and up into the village together with a gaggle of local children - more and more joined us as we walked 😊. The location is very peaceful and I would thoroughly recommend "

"This hotel is absolutely horrible! It is incredibly overpriced, at the same rate as a Luxury Hotel, but they have service comparable to a Motel in Rural Alabama. They don't have a restaurant, they have a cafeteria with a fixed menu. The portions are tiny (cheap) and I left each meal still feeling hungry. They do not have internet in the Rooms. They do not stock their minibar. Half of the electrical outlets in each room do not work. The entrance of each room is accessed through a back alley...

"Lovely and large room with king bed and a fire place. Ensuite was also large. They also put hot water bottles in our bed at turn down - such a lovely gesture. Staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. Food good and fresh too. We also saw a Golden Monkey there too. Nb. Worth noting that the laundry service doesn’t include ironing/pressing."

"The view from the balcony of each cabin is to die for!!! The staff extremely friendly! Food in the restaurelant limited but tasty and very reasonably priced. Now the bad news. Inside the cabins everything is so tired to say the least.The electric sockets practically hanging out. The shower so small you can hardly turn round ( and i am a slim guy). It looks to me like the owner is giving up on it... Such a shame as i really wanted to give high rating..."

"it is a good stop over to volcano national park. about 20 mins drive. the property is okay. it was well kept. the room was gorgeous but the mattress was terrible. it is hard and gave me backache. the breakfast can be made better. the staff is nice. "

"Very friendly and helpful staff with a restaurant on-site and the historic hotel/hangout across the street. A bit far from the national park. No fan, AC or mosquito net in room. Luckily, I didn't need the latter. A bit worn around the edges, but relatively comfortable. "

"It was such amazing stay. We will come back very soon and as often as we will be able to do it. Thank you Patrick, Nshuti, Angelic, the Chef and all the staff in general. We need to buy now a 4 x 4 car especially for our upcoming stays at Palega Beach Inn !! "
