"Good: -Food is great, good quantity and quality. Especially the seafood! -Location is great, in the center of the shopping area. Especially beautiful at night and early morning. Could be better: -The room smelled a bit like restroom - but seemed to come from the AC unit? Maybe it needs to be cleaned. -A no smoking sign outside the bath/shower area - in the morning it smelled like smoke, even after closing the window. "

"extraordinary japanese inn sprawled across the mountainside - the place goes back 400 years. hard to say which is more impressive - the traditional japanese buildings or the beautiful garden that links them. the views of the city and the surrounding mountains are stunning, and breakfast - all 12 courses - is not to be missed."

"床に髪の毛が落ちていて、とても自分たちのものとは思えなかったです。ただ部屋の広さや静かさ、大浴場(きれいさも含めて)には大満足。スタッフさんの対応もスマートながら丁寧さに欠けることなく感じが良かったです。部屋の洗面台が欠けていたり、トイレが狭かったり、水の流れが悪かったのは残念でした。"

"埃などは落ちてないので清潔ではあるが、何せ建物や備品が古いままな為、カーテンや扉の紙の日焼けやシミがそのまま残ってしまっているのが残念。 昭和世代はまだ耐えられるが、それ以降の人達には厳しいかもしれません。お湯がなかなか出てこないのも大変。それだけ今の世の中が便利で楽になったという事を感じれます笑 部屋及び風呂からの眺めも窓を変えるだけでもかなり変わるはずですが、経営上なかなか難しいんでしょうね。 それでも旅館の方達は高齢ですが、親切で良い方ばかりです。"
