Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
This is a long review, but very honest. This property was in a good location very close to whalers village and Kaanapali beach you could walk. The walk there wasn’t too bad, but the walk back up was almost all uphill. The resort itself had some great amenities like full kitchen and had beach chairs and umbrellas which was very nice to have! The room itself was not what I was expecting though. The room we ended up with was facing a burnt down school with our view being of some shipping containers and the school yard, not a garden view that we booked. Also the first night in my cousin was locked out of her room because her door had a broken lock on it and we were unaware of that. We called their customer service the next day and they were very kind to move us to a better room. The new room was very beautiful and had a great view. The only downside to the new room was we had a cockroach problem. We found 3 dead cockroaches and there was 1 live cockroach running on our patio. Also the noise level was very loud. It’s close to a main road and the walls were very thin. The people above and next to us were very noisy and could hear every movement. I know that’s not the resorts fault, but still something to consider if booking. Overall I would not stay again or really recommend to anyone if they are expecting a 4-5 star stay.
