"We booked to stay at Haus Saarland am Rennsteig. On arriving at the hotel we found it was closed and a notice telling us to go to another hotel, Hotel Thuringenschanze which was about 0.5km away. Since we had arrived by public transport we had to walk there with our luggage. On checking in at the new hotel we were not offered Oberhof guest cards. This meant that we were unable to obtain the guest card discount when we visited the nearby SkiHalle. We asked to stay an extra night. We paid...

"Our family quite enjoyed our stay here. Our room was very clean and well-appointed and we enjoyed the comfortable common area with a kitchen and tables for eating and game playing. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and live onsight so are generally very available. The location was perfect for us because we could easily walk into town for restaurants, shopping or playing in the snow. Ein sehr schönes Tiny House…es ist alles da, was man braucht…hier an dieser Stelle eine kleine Anregung: ein Rolle oder Vorhang an der Haustür und eine kleine Lampe zum Lesen im Schlafzimmer wären gut. "Super schöne Gegend (trotz nicht so tollen Wetter). Vermieter sehr freundlich, Haus liebevoll eingerichtet, zum wohlfühlen . Zum einkaufen benötigt man ein auto, ohne geht nicht viel. Schade,das Sehenswürdigkeiten im Ort geschlossen hatten. Fahren gerne wieder hin."
