Our home is a Three-Bedroom Two-bath House located on 47 Private Acres.
Featuring Turtle Mountain, your own private hiking paradise. Bouldering, Hiking, and Climbing. 15 minutes from the West entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Private Pool. Elevated Stargazing Deck. Amazing Views. Chefs Kitchen. Outdoor Furniture. Fire Pit. Ping Pong. Horseshows. Indoor-Outdoor Speakers. Patio Lights. Stainless Steel BBQ. Central AC/Heat.

The space
This is a place to reset, reflect, and create. Designed as a retreat to observe the desert wildlife and the sunrise and sunset. It is our hope that you enjoy every part of your stay; from making coffee by drip in the morning to playing music on the indoor/outdoor Bluetooth speakers, or studying the stars at night. Turtle Mountain offers 47 pristine and nearly untouched acres to explore. There are hundreds of Joshua Trees and boulders to climb in a private park-like surrounding.
Guest access
Turtle Mountain is 47 acres of privately owned land. Guests have access to all 47 acres. The Mainhouse is situated on 7 gated and fully fenced acres within the 47 acres that make up Turtle Mountain.
Other things to note
Elevated Pool. Sunk in the ground two feet surrounded by a Two Level Stargazing/Viewing Deck with outdoor living room. Pool is Approximately 6 feet deep.
Currently, the pool is not heated so if you are booking this home in the colder months, please be aware of this.
The pool service comes every Wednesday for maintenance. He won’t need to come inside but will be coming around to the backyard.

Perfect for JOTR w family
This place was perfect for our 6-person family. It was such a quick drive to the national park that we could keep going back and forth- essential to avoid being in the park in the heat. The pool was perfectly cold for the hot desert days and my kids loved it. The only thing with the pool was that the stairs were not attached and kept coming off the edge which was a little tricky for my little ones who couldn’t stand. The hot tub was also very nice and they had four hammocks outside that were great for stargazing- honestly I almost wanted to sleep out there. We cooked all our own meals and kitchen was great. Beds were nice except the top bunk is too dangerous bc it doesn’t have a bed rail but my little ones didn’t mind sleeping together on the bottom bunk. Kids bedrooms were theme and unique. My kids loved the 90s theme andd the lava lamp. Game room was fun but beware it’s not air conditioned. Overall absolutely awesome stay- we would love to stay here again!

A Perfect Retreat
What an amazing trip! The property was everything we hoped for and more. Turtle Mountain offered so much land for our family to explore. The pool was a wonderful retreat after our long, hot, hikes through Joshua Tree National Park. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had, and we were welcomed with soft music playing when we walked through the door. If we ever make it back this way, we’ll be sure to stay at Turtle Mountain.

Quite Oasis
The property is fantastic…quite, serene, peaceful. Just a chill location. The scenery is spectacular. The house is comfortable and the kitchen is stocked and ready for some great meals. Uber eats also delivers, if wanted. Very clean inside and out.

Awesome location
My son and my best friend had a blast hiking turtle mountain! The house offers plenty to entertain yourself. The pool was great. Loved the outdoor speaker system. It was a perfect hub for our four day trip. Close to the park and very close to the mesa market. Amazing views and above all peace and quiet. I would absolutely stay here in the future!

Loved our Stay
We loved our stay and found the home to be very comfortable. My husband was especially impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was for a STR. The beds were VERY comfortable and it was a quiet retreat. I wish I could attach a picture here but the sunrises were breathtaking with the Joshua Tree in the background. We had some rousing games of ping pong as well as board games and it was a perfect time to reconnect.

Perfect location and property
Enjoyed wonderful starry nights on the deck, taking astrophotography photos for over 5 hours one night to create a wonderful timelapse video and stacked star trails photo with the awesome Joshua Tree as the foreground image. Also enjoyed seeing a pair of coyotes and roadrunners on the property. It was perfectly located for 2 entrances into the JTNP. I couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Thank you!
