OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
○ The charging cable for EV charging is not included - bring your own cable.
○ The TVs do not have cable or streaming subscriptions. Most popular apps are already downloaded - simply bring your own login details. The family room TV has a Chromecast that you can use to cast sports from your laptop.
○ The games room is in the garage and is not heated space. However it is insulated and has heated living areas above it, so it's not freezing and can still be enjoyed in the winter with a light jacket.
○ Please report any accidental damage as soon as it occurs.
○ Guests are responsible for any fines incurred as a result of breaking community rules (this has never happened yet).
○ The owners may store a vehicle in the garage, however it is a very large garage and there will still be space for 2 guest vehicles.
○ A golf cart is stored in the garage. Unfortunately, it's not available for guest use (for insurance reasons).
○ Guests should plan on cleaning the outdoor propane grill after use, if they use it during their stay. Cleaning supplies are located in a crate under the grill. The cleaning fee for the house does not include cleaning the grill. If the grill is left dirty then an additional fee may apply.
○ Only registered watercraft are allowed on the lake, so unfortunately guests cannot bring their own watercraft.

ADDITIONAL RULES:
○ Minimum age for Primary Renter is 30.
○ No candles, slime or confetti.
○ No events.
○ No guests are allowed at the house in addition to those on the original booking - including day guests - this is for insurance reasons.
○ No bachelor parties/weekends or prom celebrations.
○ Host reserves the right to request photo ID from primary renter to verify age and facilitate contactless check-in.
○ If you use the Weber propane grill outside, please clean it after use.
○ No fireworks; community and Township fines apply and primary renter will be liable.

Very pleasant getaway
Nice property - great view and access to lake. Very responsive manager. Pickleball players note - there were two courts with pickleball lines - one with no net and one with tennis net. Luckily we had our own net.

Anniversary Celebration
BEAR CREEK RETREAT is a fantastic home! Perfect location with beautiful views of the lake. The host has thought of EVERYTHING to make you feel at home. Beautifully decorated, super comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen with towels and linens for all the guests. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our family and really would never have had to leave the house! New family memories were made around the firepit, fishing in the lake, kayaking and hiking. Weather couldn't have been better to fully enjoy our long weekend! Absolutely Amazing
We loved this property so much. The location, the home, all of the amenities. We enjoyed sitting by the campfire in the evenings. During the day we hit all the shops and pubs in Jim Thorpe and had the best time. Will likely come back and will most definitely recommend to all friends as and family!

From the booking to the final check out everything was great. The house has a nice view of the lake, large living room area. Kitchen is loaded with all the utensils you have at home so make it is very easy to prepare a meal. Thank you very much for a wondefull weekend at the lake.

Great stay!
Everything from check in to checkout went seamless! The host was extremely responsive to anything we needed! The house was so nice and modern. Everything worked great. The bedrooms were extremely clean and well appointed. The best part was the bottom level with its on in-law quarters with living room, bathroom, and bedroom. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to relax and stay in a nice, clean, and quiet home.

Gorgeous lakeside home
We stayed in early January for a ski/snowtubing weekend. We got lucky with the weather as there was a storm over the weekend so there was fresh snow for skiing as well as a picturesque view. The house was fantastic. Beautiful design and extremely clean. More than spacious fitting two families of four. The owners ensured we had all the necessary information for our stay and had great amenities to use even though we didn’t have enough time to use everything as our stay was short. I would certainly book this place again especially in summer to enjoy the lake.

It's like being at home!
What a beautiful house, everything was exactly the way it looks in the photos but better. The kitchenware was more than any property that we ever stayed at. Spices ,baking ect. It was like being at home . Vanessa was very responsive when we needed anything. Beautiful veiws ! Both of our family's had a great time!We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!

Beautiful Property
The property was very nice and clean. The owner was extremely responsive and attentive to our every need. Views of the lake are amazing! The property did well in meeting our expectations. The only recommendations I would make would be to swap carpets in the bedrooms for the flooring used throughout the rest of the home, and provide an additional heating source for the lower level. All things being considered, we could not have asked for a better weekend stay.

Fun Family Weekend
We took advantage of a long weekend to get together and enjoy our family. Luckily, we booked the perfect house to accommodate all of us, including two toddlers. The house is spotlessly clean and stylish! The main floor was a perfect gathering space with room to spare. The bedrooms and bathrooms were just right. Being right on the lake gave us a peaceful setting with beautiful views. The host was welcoming and provided clear and easy to follow information on the house. Great spot for any time of the year!

Awesome family vacation
We spent a week at this home with our children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren ages 11 months, 1, and 3. There was plenty of space for all of us and lots of room for the children to play. The kitchen was very well equipped for all of our meals and the beach and lake were great! The owner, Vanessa, was easy to communicate with and checked on us mid-week to make sure all was well and we did not need anything. The house was very clean. It was a fun week for our family!

Every bit as good as its description
This place looks pretty great in the pictures and description -- I'm happy to say this property exceeds expectations . The house is beautiful both inside and out. The great room with its fantastic lake view and fully equipped kitchen was perfect to hang out and prepare and share meals. The bedrooms were all comfortable and there were many inviting gathering areas inside and outdoors. The hosts provide equipment and passes to enjoy the lake facilities. Communication was easy and the host was helpful and attentive before and during our stay. I'd highly recommend staying at his special place/

Relaxing Birthday Weekend
My husband and I stayed at the property with a couple friends for my 50th birthday. The owner’s (Jon) communication with me was amazing. He was very responsive and answered all of my questions. The house was very clean, stocked with all the essentials & absolutely beautiful - the lake view was the perfect scenery for morning coffee. There’s plenty to do right on the property. Graduation
Perfect property for our 3 generation family to celebrate our daughter’s graduation with her Master’s from the University of Scranton. We enjoyed the watercraft, the fire pit and the large open kitchen and living room. Adult “kids” played pool in the garage. Bonus was the downstairs bedroom, office and living area. Cozy Spring Break Getaway
My family of 5 (including 3 children under 6) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this immaculate home. We found the home to be both clean and crisp while simultaneously cozy and having all the comforts of home. We were unlucky with weather, but we’re still able to get out a bit to enjoy local hiking and waterfalls. The owner was extremely helpful in regards to recommending things to do from the point of booking until the week of,when she was able to recommend some indoor activities. ❤️ My kids had an absolute blast. We sat by the fire, played games, scootered in the huge garage space, baked cookies, set up an indoor tent, hiked, and most importantly slowed down. It was exactly what we needed and the home/amazing view was the most perfect backdrop for it. We would love to come back as I’m sure it would be perfection any time of the year. This home has everything you need and felt like a luxurious stay. There’s also Plenty of room for multiple families.Thank you!

Tranquil at Bear Creek
We just finished our vacation in Bear creek with family .. the place is beautiful.. well furnished with very good appliances and fully equipped recreational activities including activities in the lake .. you can hear the birds chirping in the morning and watching the sunset in the serene lake with the bonfire .. Vanessa and Jon do a splendid job of describing the property and are excellent host and very prompt in communicating .. they have the mesh NEST internet and it was good quality in every room .. we used the bikes , tennis rackets and had got our own basket ball which we played every day and the kayaks .. kids loved to do s’mores at sunset .. I recommend atoxling up your groceries and meet from also which is 20-25 minutes away .. we trekked the hawk eye falls glen onoko falls and the butter milk and Luke falls ( more of gravel bike ride) and lastly did the scenic train ride in Jin Thorpe .. if you like ice cream then scoops is good place to visit which is a few minutes away .. thank you Jon and Vanessa for sharing lovely heart warming home .. which is truly a home away from home
