Beautiful Property!!
Absolutely stunning property directly on the New River!! Large yard was a huge plus for our lab who loved chasing the frisbee and going for her 1st swim! Owners went above and beyond and thought of everything we could need, including paper products, towels for outside, etc. Property was meticulously cleaned and well maintained. Check-in was a breeze and communication was excellent. We will be back!!

Beautiful location
This cabin has a beautiful location, with a huge backyard, nice fire pit, and lovely, shallow river. We saw deer in the backyard, and one crossing the river. Also saw two bald eagles, a mallard duck, a crane, and gophers. The cabin is very nice and we loved the hot tub, ping pong table and bath tub jacuzzi. However, it needs a thorough deep clean. For example, there was dust hanging from taxidermy and fridge was a little dirty. The lighting in kitchen and living room is not bright enough at night. Also, kitchen is missing a few items, such as a colander and more than one teaspoon. Overall, we had a great stay, just giving ideas to improve. Thank you!

Amazing property!
From the drive in, to the perfect location on the river, we had a wonderful adventure filled weekend! We enjoyed playing in the huge mowed yard, relaxing by the fire pit, soaking in the hot tub, and wading around the river. Close to groceries and kayak and tube rentals. Such a great place to enjoy time with friends and family!

Disappointed in non cleanliness of cabin
Yes this is a pet friendly cabin...couch, chair and rugs covered in white dog hair. We vacuumed up enough animal hair to stuff a pillow. Kitchen area had to be swept and vacuumed by us. We had to wipe out refrigerator and microwave before we could use it. Sheets on master King size bed were soiled 💩. Definitely had to wash them before we slept on them. King bed was comfortable. Upstairs queen mattress you roll to the center...pics online show clear unobstructed view of river not so in person...pics need to be updated. It's a very pretty cabin on a dirt/gravel road. The landscaping is very pretty and it accommodated my family of 9 and my 6lb yorkie. We all enjoyed the ping pong table as well and we enjoyed the creek too.

Peaceful retreat
Beautiful home with gorgeous views. So peaceful to be on porch listening to the river! Well appointed, very comfortable. Nightly ping pong wars were a bonus. Would love to come back. The house is actually 3 stories, with main living area up one level, and 2 BR upstairs which made it a bit difficult for an older person in our party. We can’t recommend this property enough!! Absolutely wonderful

Our visit was awesome! The view is gorgeous, and being right on the water was so nice. Hot tub was perfect on a cold day and the boys loved the ping pong table. Will definately be back in warmer weather to enjoy more of the outside amenities.

Nice week in the cabin
The whole experience was a breeze, and the listing is pretty accurate. The only hipcus for this property was the cleaning, we found a lot of dust under beds, on top the fans so we didn't run them for they would make us sneeze a lot, cabinet where living room t.v. is located was very dusty, also when we open the sofa bed (same area) was full of stuff even a doggy bone came out of there; back yard had some dog poop that we cleaned up before we started using it(I blame previous guests more than management for this) but still it should be checked out before a new family Renta the property. Kitchen items are in pretty good shape as well as an linnen for the whole house. The river was amazing specially for our dog he had a blast. This property is very private next to a golf club just make sure you follow the email instructions that management sends before checking in, once you go in and out of town once, you will be good with the location. We will definitely rent it again.

Pretty cabin right on the river
This was our second visit to Rushing Waters. Our family loves that this house is big enough for all of us, is comfortable, pretty and right on the river. We love to jump in the river and tube down to the state park or start upstream at the bridge and take out at the house. The yard is big enough to play yard games and our dogs love it here. Nice gravel road along the river from the house to walk the dogs each morning. Our only real complaint is that the cabin is not necessarily available at 4 on your first day as it says in the listing. They later sent a note that check in was 4:00, but it wasn't guaranteed until 6. We had planned to cook and instead had to go out to dinner on the busiest night of the week for restaurants. Still, its a great house and we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Nice location
We had a nice stay in Jefferson. Good location and easy drive. Nice nights by the fire. I do recommend you take pictures of the towels and count how many are left in your room when you arrive and leave. Please be careful with the hot water as it is very hot. Unable to sleep on the couch in the loft once folded out unless you want a bar in your back . Down stairs bed was not clean at all underneath. Bugs and trash.

Fantastic location on the river
The location of this property is unbeatable! The yard is huge and our dogs had the best week of their lives. The property is right on the river with easy access for tubing and kayaking. There is also excellent fishing in the creek right next to the river. The layout of the house is nice. There were a number of items in the home that needed to be fixed and the cleanliness was not up to our Standards. Floors under all furniture, ceiling fans, closets, etc. had clearly not been cleaned in months. We would definitely rent the property again but hope the management company pays much more attention to fixing things that are broken and doing a genuinely good cleaning job. Property management was responsive and polite when items were reported, we just hope they are acted upon for the next renters.

Very nice, great location.
This was a great location near grocery stores and downtown shopping in West Jefferson. The cabin was nice, pretty clean, had a lot of kitchen cookware and utensils. The master bed was super comfortable. The porch is really nice and would be great in the summer. It sits on a big field so is great for pets. Access to the water is not possible for most pets as the banks are too steep. There is a creek that flows into it that is a little better. The river would be great to fish in. We had a really good weekend at this cabin.

Relaxing and cozy.
Great location near the river. There is a grill, but it is charcoal not gas. If you plan on using the grill bring your own charcoal. Also, plan to bring kitchen dish cloths and dish towels. There isn’t any to use there are plenty of bath towels. The locks on the doors heading outside are secure and appear to be unlocked when actually they are locked. Suggestion: keep the house key in the code key box. They will charge you $25 to come and unlock the door. There is a sign explaining about the locks but it was hidden behind the back door frame and not visible. There is no mention of a $25 fee if you get locked out. If you want to use the fire pit, bring your own wood. All in all we had a relaxing time.

Our family will definitely want to stay here again !!
This place was AMAZING ! A short walk to the river to go fishing or kayaking. The yard was huge, the hot tub was just what we needed in the evenings or after being rained on while canoeing = ) Very spacious inside and clean. I would recommend this to anyone that loves the outdoors, and also to those who just need a get a way to relax. We had a family of 10 that enjoyed the week in this beautiful home & were so thrilled to have been a part of our family vacation !! LOVED IT <3

Spacious Piece of Heaven
What a gorgeous place! Inside and out, this lovely home was beautiful, clean and welcoming. The natural beauty of the surroundings was complemented by the open architecture of your log cabin. The internet pictures don't begin to describe the grandeur of each room, with plenty of space for our family. The downstairs "man cave" was a surprise! Ping-Pong table and a perfect place to store camping gear or for teens to hang out. We would love to come back again and stay much longer, and bring more members of the family. The view from the massive porch each morning was spectacular. We watched as five families of Canadian Geese walked into the yard, with all their little children! Dozens of people passed by in their kayaks and canoes, far enough away for us to enjoy our privacy, but close enough for us to see from the deck. How perfectly situated above the river so that the views in any direction were spectacular! The amenities described in the listing were accurate, but we discovered so much more! Thank you for making our stay wonderful and comfortable.
